It seems harsh to want that to happen, but they are compared to EFL clubs in say League 1 & just look like an amateurish set up, so then all Scottish football is rubbish by default.

I really can't understand why our game this weekend wasn't on TV. 2nd v 4th , in any other league that's a no brainer. Think how good yesterday would look to a neutral audience. 4 stands almost packed out, big away attendance and a good game. Instead we have a game at a ground with an awful pitch, 2 stands and a tent and a non existent home support and it just feeds into the 'pub league' pish English fans love to throw at us.

I know it's all about merit but Dundee Utd, St Mirren and Dunfermilne would all add far more to the Premiership than Hamilton do.

If we want to promote the game in Scotland we shouldn't be showing live games at Hamilton, or any other grounds with less than four stands.

Accies sucked me in today. Genuinely thought they might sneak a result during the 1st half. Not to worry, The Rangers will definitely drop more than a few points between now and May to give us opportunities to overhaul them. That's if we maintain a decent level of form we are more than capable of.

In my opinion it shouldn’t be all about merit. It’s a professional league with a product to sell. Sometimes these teams are putting better players on the park because they are not investing in other areas of their business to improve fan experience.

They’ll be bolstered by their win and getting false illusions of importance and potential, especially seeing Celtic failing to control their game against St Johnstone. In that case I wouldn’t mind seeing Celtic winning their match and keeping the Sevco mindset in check.

They still have them twice to play, if they win both (unlikely) then it's down to 3 points so it's not impossible although it is improbable. Celtic are certainly not the team they were last season and the longer they stay in Europe, the more likely it will be that they'll slip up.

I don't expect Sevco to have enough to win the league from the position they are in at the moment but Celtic are certainly more vulnerable this season.

For Rangers to win the league they’d probably have to win all their games.

They’re good at scoring goals against poor sides like Hamilton but they’re still not that good a side. They won’t be consistent enough to string the results together that they need to put any serious pressure on Celtic IMO.

Agree about Celtic, they’re nowhere near what they were last year. They’re a lot more complacent as much as anything.

They are prioritising the next game against Zenit They have a good chance of going through if they repeat their home performance
They will pick up in the league again as they get inured players back But yea was surprised they didn't strengthen in January window as it was clear that they were dropping more points and not hitting the heights of last year

Don't think it's very likely Celtic will blow the league now but I reckon they've been there for the taking. No one been consistent enough though. Huns seem to win 2 or 3 in a row then lose the next, Aberdeen beat everyone outside the Top sides then when it really matters it they bottle it and we have been the definition of inconsistent. Winning at Ibrox one week then losing to Hamilton the next but on our day we can beat anyone in this league.

celtic have been very lucky in the two draws with us this season and we could've and probably should've won both.

The Thes could still win it because if things got tight at the top The Thes might get some 'good fortune' on the pitch at crucial moments. Neither we nor the Sheepies would get that.

I didn't see much of them when Hearts won the championship. Did you? I saw them in the 1979 Cup Final, and the fact that they currently have 54 league titles to their name is due to good fortune. I wouldn't rule it out in future just because you can remember two games when they didn't benefit from it.

During part six of Brown/Rodgers v Levein...

"Asked if he felt rival managers shouldn’t talk about players at other clubs, Rodgers added: “It is not something that any manager likes so much.

“It is not something I do unless I am praising a player for his qualities

Today...

"Probably a point was about right for both teams.

"Tommy will be thinking how they haven't won since 16 December when they can come here and play like that?

"So the questions are more about their mentality."

A few games out of what, 45? I'm auld and don't remember how many 50-50s in the fixtures between us that season went our way rather than The Thes' way. I do believe that over the course of a season The Thes will get more 50-50 decisions for than against them, for the same reason that the other week a BBC journalist unaccountably retracted a negative comment he'd made about The Thes - intimidation of one sort or another. I don't remember any 50-50s in the 2016 Cup Final, so there were no real opportunities for The Thes to benefit from good fortune. The year Hearts won the Championship they were a million miles ahead of everyone else, so again there were no opportunities for The Thes to benefit. If The Thes were neck and neck with any other team for the league title this year and there arose an opportunity for them to benefit from a dubious call, they might well do. Is that opinion controversial in any way? :dunno:
