A few of us going tomorrow. Hibs have said dress code is "smart, no football tops or trainers".

Decent jeans and smart shirt ok? Or is it a suit job?

Which area are you attending? The Gallery or The Edinburgh suite?

Clubhouse, think it's same as Gallery - same price/free food/booze etc

"smart, no football tops or trainers".

You've answered your own question.

You've answered your own question.

No, that statement doesn't define "smart" hence the question. I'm hoping someone who has been recently can confirm.

The Gallery is a sit down 3 course meal, if you are here then despite the invite/ticket saying nothing about jeans, they do frown upon it. I wore a pair of black, almost trousers looking, jeans to The Gallery hospitality once and was made to feel like I turned up wearing a burlap sack!

Chinos, cords or trousers with a smart shirt, jumper or collared tee are always a safe bet, you don’t have to go full suit and tie.

I felt the complete opposite we felt over dressed with just a shirt and tie.

Totally agree. I was only wearing your basic shirt, trousers and shoes combo and still felt overdressed. Guys were kicking about in jeans and polo shirts so don't think the op will have any issues tomorrow.

I’m glad someone asked this question. I’m going for the Hamilton game, I think I’ll just wear a pair of trousers and a shirt.

Yeah I agree a tie is too formal for any of their packages.

Just don’t turn up in trackie bottoms 😂

Great to see such a good uptake for hospitality this season, I know it’s always popular but I’ve struggled to get a ticket for many hospitality games this year due to the demand.

A great day/night out.

As long as your dress is not an over the shoulder job 9 inches above the knee in a moronic maroon colour you'll be fine...

I'll be disappointed to hear you wore nothing less than a tuxedo. Up your standards man. :greengrin

Actually, one of the guys going tomorrow has just text me to say:

"From my experience at gallery earlier this season - smart shirt / jeans would be ok"

Thanks for the post. I'm going tomorrow too and have been having this discussion today with my mate. Jeans and shirt it is. Maybe green trimmed underwear!
Looking forward to a good meal, a few beers and what will hopefully be an entertaining game and 3 points to close the gap a little with the sheep.

I went with a suit on and felt over-dressed although I actually enjoyed being dressed up for the day so it didn't bother me.

For men a casual shirt or jumper with smart jeans or work trousers will be fine along with smart trainers or work shoes.

For women a smart top or blouse with skirt or trousers along with flat shoes or high heels.

As long as you're not wearing a football top or going dressed in shorts and t-shirt then you should be fine.

They have a relaxed definition on the word "smart".

I'll be in the Edinburgh Suite for the Hamilton game is that more relaxed still?

If that's all you had on I would say you were seriously underdressed!

I'd defo have worn trousers though. Bit of a faux pas, that.

Don’t get me started. One of my main bugbears is the appauling standard of dress amongst men in the hospitality. I would call many of our so-called supporters a disgrace to the club.

Also pay attention to the shoes, I see so many well dressed people who have not paid attention to their shoes which lets the entire ensemble down.

Agree with what others have said, I went for the full suit, 2007 League Cup winners tie and felt massively over dressed. Most were in jeans, smart shoes, jumpers or shirts.

Is this universal? What if you work as a painter? Or a gigolo?

I’m glad someone asked this question. I’m going for the Hamilton game, I think I’ll just wear a pair of trousers and a shirt.I'm pretty sure that is a theme day for charity. The expectation is that you are to wear as much pink as possible....the more pink you wear, the more free beer you get......also you are not allowed to check with your mates....or the club....

Was there a few months ago and it’s relaxed. As it says, as long as no trainers or football tops you’ll be fine. Saying that.. the players all walked through in trackie bottoms and trainers but I’ll let them off ;)

It’s also a really good day out, enjoy.

I’m not sure what package it was but I went to the Bonnyrigg Rose game last season with lunch and drinks at ER before the game.

I wore dark smart jeans, a shirt and funnily enough all black Nike Air Force 1s, (so some trainers are allowed) and that was fine.
