With all the talk of a new pitch at tynecastle who do we suppose has the best pitch in the league.

If we asked a player what surface do they enjoy playing on what would they say. Sevco fan at my work says it’s Ibrox, surprisingly is he right.

What does everyone think?

Dundee's pitch is decent IIRC

They're all decent enough with the exception of Hearts.

Aberdeen’s has been looking pretty ropey the past few games

Aberdeen, Hearts and, for different reasons, Hamilton and Kilmarnock stand out as being particularly bad. Celtic Park looked pretty poor on TV at the weekend as well.

The rest all seem much the same. ER is in decent shape but I'd probably agree Ibrox looks the pick of the bunch at the moment.

Motherwell been decent for a few years now after being one of the worst. Not in the top league but Morton always seem to get it right too.

Agreed. No place for plastic pitches in the top division.

Dundee, Hibs and Rangers always have a good surface regardless of weather. Off the top of my head, I can't recall the last time a match at any of these venues was postponed due to an unplayable pitch.

I can remember a derby at ours getting called off because of a waterlogged pitch .
Mid 80s . Carry out had alteady been consumed. We were on route to the game , when it got called off.
What a kick in the nomads that was :)

It's got to be said that Celtic Park looks in great nick for tonight's game.

I remember walking down Easter Road about 2:30 wondering where everybody had dissapeared to.

I realise we didn't get good crowds in them days but I didn't think I should be the only person in the Street in a Hibs scarf :greengrin

I second this. Played last May and was surprised when I walked on. It was in the middle of that warm sunny spell we had which probably didn't help
