View Full Version : Any plans for a display for the derby in March?

Since1875....? Any plans?

We need to stick it to them when they return to Easter Road and get the players right up for the game from the kick off.

The last display was immense and we should go for something similar.
Except our banner should read “We Run This Town”, let’s not reference Potter’s ‘natural order’ bull-crud!

Also think the players should walk out of the tunnel to something more inspiring, like this....

I have no doubt we will be up for this match but let’s really get the heat rising from the moment the floodlights switch on!

“I’m shipping up to boston” would better suit from the drop kick Murphy I think but I think it needs to be intimidating music... totally subjective topic to be honest...

my my choice was to reflect the banner and to reflect Bartley’s wind up tweet from last year.... it really riled them up on Twitter.

Was it ever explained what the guys had initially lined up for the Rangers game? Remember one of them lamenting that they had to abandon some of it late on, so curious to know what they had planned. As it was, the big banner of David Gray and shimmering card in the FF lower tier looked great.

We shouldn't reference Hearts or the insignificant loser Levein. Any display should be about us "The Hibs go marching on" display was immense. "Sunshine on Leith" in similar size would be good.

Agreed ... in his tiny mind Levin would probably see it as some sort of victory if we referenced him.

May be a challenge. Working funds back up through scarf/sticker sales after two displays so far this season.

Something to do with Hibs and not Hearts please. They won last time, it's up to us to win bragging rights back.

We can go back to gloating if we win this one.

Would’ve good if people could donate a fiver or something, not sur show much it costs for these displays but I’m sure £500 or so could be raised on here.

Collection before the Aberdeen game next week.
If 10,000 supporters put 20p. That would give £2000.

A collection at the Aberdeen game has already been arranged with the club for the Dnipro Kids appeal

:agree:

The Dnipro Appeal get one game a season to raise funds, so the club wouldn't sanction another on same day.

Just let the guys do it their own way and not pressurise them into doing things just because we want them to. They'll know what's involved both financially and in making up any displays. I'd rather wait on a good one than rush them into a duff one.

A collection on the Aberdeen game was obviously a bad call . As the deniprio cause is more important than a display. What my point was , that 20p to the majority of hibs fans is nothing. The guys that organise the displays need all the help they can get . I agree that they shouldn’t get pressured in to a display . Let them do there own thing . They’ve been very successful in the past and don’t need someone like me telling them to what to do. A pay pal account for donations . Take the burden of money off their backs and let them concentrate on what they are good at .

Maybe best to have a display planned for the next again home one after we've tucked them away on March 9th.

Whilst I agree, I’d rather we didn’t use poppies to point score. Leave that to Sevco and the Merricks who know no shame.

PayPal and bank account details were given in a thread a few months ago.

Maybe the Hibs go marching on banner could be used again as part of it. Appreciate the display should be different but don't see why it couldn't incorporate that banner too.
