Apparently the gimps are building a stand at Heriot Watt for their U20's games. They'll be telling us next that they are the only two-stadium club in the world!

Saw it going up last week, will hold around 200.
Not sure who’s paying for it though, Oriam or Hearts

I think you have been given bum information there. Hearts are struggling to pay for the cost over-run on their new megastand. Why would they pay to build a new stand at a facility they rent? Especially as it is also used by Hibs!

PS: Manchester City have two stadiums: the Etihad Stadium and the Etihad Arena.

Beat me to it. Thousands of unused seats at Tinycastle every home game. It's a great way to allow their stadium announcer to claim yet another sell out. Just remove 4k pink seats and take them to the Uni.

I was under the impression Heriot Watt wanted to improve facilities so they could move up the leagues - didn't think it had anything to do with the facility the yams rent - IF THEY EVEN PAY THIER BILLS...remember all the £££ they were due previously to HW and never paid ?

Agreed - isn't it the case they don't play developement games there because of the cost ?

I think they are moving away from Stenhousemuir, and using the outdoor pitches that belong to the Uni - according to some daft yam in the office. An evening news article perhaps? Can't check, for some reason that is a restricted site.

Got to be a good chance that some of the people involved here will be similar or the same as the ones at HWU who failed to diligently pursue an ever increasing debt right up to the point Hearts put themselves into admin thus avoiding the debt.

This is an absolute non story tbh.
Why is no one in the media asking about s completion date for the mega stand, which is all paid for apparently!!

Spurs have nearly completed a 66,000 seater stadium in the time it has taken the yams to produce a shell of a stand with one seats.
Have to remember though this is what big famous teams do!

Well c'mon ..... This is a club who claim to have invented the concept of fan ownership and are constantly quoted in the media as a model for it, even though their 'fan ownership' currently consists of one fan.

In view of that its not to difficult to think they could get the media and their own fans to claim ownership of, and credit for, a stand that doesn't belong to them and they had absolutely no input into the financing or building of.

You have to give grudging respect to Hertz .. they seem able to get their own fans and the MSM to swallow anything ... their 20,000 capacity 18,700 stadium being another example ( check out their Wiki page ) .... Its a f'ing good job they didn't actually move to Murrayfield, within a year they would have been claiming it as 'their' stadium and within a decade be claiming they had built it.

Not just any hybrid pitch, but the same one used by Man Utd and Liverpool!

Behind the headlines is .. they've got a **** pitch that can barely last a season and costs a fortune to upkeep. Rather than throw another £200k at it in the summer, they've decided to rip the whole lot up and start again .. assuming that they can once again rifle the share money .. err .. sorry .. supporters genereous donations.

The upshot probably being that it will be another 2 years added to Budge's proposed handover date for the club to become fan owned.

The papers always talk about Hearts being "fan owned", but given that not one donation is yet to be used to buy shares .. will they ever be "fan owned"??

In the same sort of way that The Eighth Wonder was never behind schedule, because they kept changing the schedule, they will at some point in the near future announce that it is now fully fan-owned, because the definition of fan-owned is that a fan owns it. The Hearts-fawning SMSM will duly collectively cream itself.

I see that there is now talk of a £1m hybrid pitch!

We've got a hybrid pitch as well haven't we ?

Hearts have already got a hybrid pitch - part mud bath, part tattie field.

Have they asked for their fixtures to be moved to allow for the piss poor planning and late delivery ?

In the same sort of way that The Eighth Wonder was never behind schedule, because they kept changing the schedule, they will at some point in the near future announce that it is now fully fan-owned, because the definition of fan-owned is that a fan owns it. The Hearts-fawning SMSM will duly collectively cream itself.
Don’t see he point myself. The baws in the clouds half the time.

I’ll be up next week. It’s only to be seating for around 200 or so

Not much further progress from a couple of weeks ago!

Now lets for once be charitable towards the Yams and assume tgat Ann Budge is actually a fan and has used the fans money to buy herself the club...that makes it a fan (singular) owned club by Yam logic

So she owes it to herself (and at 6.2% interest as well).
