Just seen his Instagram post in with the Hibs fans at Ibrox today. I really wish it had worked out for him at ER. Really liked him as a player and a character.

Would have liked it to have worked out for home too. He scored one vital goals and always thought he put in a good shift. Hope he recovers soon

He was sitting a few rows behind me up the back of the stand. He looked pleased to be there and was enjoying chatting to the fans.

He played a huge role in us winning the Final. He pressed us up against their defence when we were behind, higher than we’d been the whole game. He exhausted them. We all knew with five minutes to go that they were spent and we would win - Keats had so much to do with that. Legend.

I don’t get the animosity towards him from some.
He’s a good lad imo and whilst I wouldn’t go as far as to wish him well at Rangers I hope he goes on to have a good career.

He went round all the Hibs players at the end and congratulated them. Football is a job remember. The god Stanton ‘played’ for Celtic. But ‘supported’ Hibs

I gave him a cheer when he came on, was pleased he didn’t contribute to the game, other than the foul on Bartley. Bet he regrets that now, in case Marv is still looking for him!

Was watching the DVD of us winning the Championship and Keats was a vital part of that. Loved the winner against Falkirk at ER as I was behind the goal that day! :agree:

He was offered a contract but he chose to leave as he wanted to play first team football and didn't see that happening with hibs.

Yeah but what was it worth?
The terms of the contract will tell a player whether they are seen as a squad member or indispensable to the team.
Can only assume Keats didn’t get what he was hoping for. Given that we replaced him with Simon Murray, who’s now gone elsewhere on loan, it does make you wonder.
