Just bumped into goalkeeper Cammy Bell here at Easter Road. He completed his medical this afternoon and has agreed a deal to join Hibernian until the end of the season. He will sign on the dotted line after tonight’s match.

Genuinely can't remember who Cammy Bells last club were. Why's he available on a free as is he not a pretty good keeper

Why would they just release him though

Surplus to requirements. He’ll be a backup for us too. Don’t see the issue.

Was that him that saved loads of penalties for Dundee Utd?

His name seems to have been around forever but I don’t have a clue about him. Can’t ever remember seeing him playing.

Seen a player in west stand reception after full time and knew it was him. I'd say we could probably do a lot worse for a back up keeper.

He was pretty close to getting an international cap during his first spell at Kilmarnock. He moved to Ibrox and hasn't ever fully recovered.

Cammy Bell seemed like a quality keeper every time I saw him on tv. I'm sure he is a sound bit of business - a reliable and more than adequate back up for our Rocky.

Sure that I read he has/had a knee injury.

I always thought Cammy Bell was a sound keeper and an excellent shot stopper. I think he had a confidence issue after getting pelters in the playoffs a couple of seasons ago when he punched an easy ball into his own net to hand the game to Motherwell. However it turned out he had suffered broken ribs just minutes earlier, which at the time he didn’t know, and when he went for the ball, the pain meant he couldn’t go through fully on the punch - usual sympathy for the unwashed and goaded followed !!

Good keeper.
only 31

On a good wage at Killie but not getting game time so its a relief to their wage bill.

Neil Lennon will remember him when The Killie beat sellik in Cup final and he played well.

I thought he got back on track at United and I was surprised they let him go.

He had some absolute howlers for Sevco though.

I'm happy for us to have him.

Marciano has been superb for the past month though, and will take a bit of dislodging.

Welcome to Hibs Cammy.

All that "You hun bassa" stuff we gave you last season at Dundee United can be forgotten!

I predict this will prove to be a sound aquisition.

He is experienced and is unlikely be prone to the bad decision making so often seen in our keepers IMO.

Confident guy.

Why would they just release him though :confused:Because he's an Englebert impersonator?
