IIRC his career there was cut short due to a brain fluid issue which required surgery. He did, though, play at the World Cup finals while a Celtic player so he did pretty well there considering.

His best days were at Hibs though.

He played over 70 times for Rangers, 50 times for Middlesbrough and nearly 40 times for Dundee in addition to the 100+ appearances he made for Hibs in what was an injury-plagued career. That seems a pretty good record to me.

I don't doubt he did well for himself, and I didn't personally think he was an especially effective player overall, but prior to his first big injury he looked an exceptionally exciting talent among several great young players who came through at Hibs.

Paul Ritchie, highly rated at Hearts, disappeared at Huns. Allan Johnstone and Shakey Mike Galloway were other Hearts players whose careers dwindled into obscurity after moves to the OF.

More than often some of these players never kicked a ball.
Kenny Millar was a prime example, Souness bought him after he scored against him while with us, played him in a couple of games where he scored about six goals, then sold him down South I think to Wolves.
They really are ****.

Some slightly odd definitions of "disappeared" if they go on to have a decent or better stint at the OF, then they hardly "disappeared" by going there.

Plenty of examples of players whose career really did collapse after a move there

Souness?? You're almost a decade out there. Was it not Advocaat? Miller had a very good career after he left us.
