Me too...not convinced about him at all...so was not excited by the prospect.

Tbh..even if I did fancy him fore the role.what's in it for him? Despite my personal views, he already has a track record at international level that should help him get a decent club role. Also NI are offering him higher package than we are, so not sure why he would want to take the job on anyway.. decision does not surprise me in any way.

You have to base your style on what players you have available. Scotland just don't have the players to play football at that level.

I disagree there are an awful lot of very average international teamsnset up with the sole purpose of not losing. I dont expect us to play Germany France etc but the level below that why not?

The SFA obviously want O'Neill but it looks like he's going to refuse (we can only speculate as to the reason) . Therefore this has nothing to do with a duff appointment by Petrie or anyone else and everything to do with a cheap shot for the sake of it.
