Kevin Clancy.

Should have given us a penalty v Huns. Gave us a debatable one in the Semi's v Celtic.

Only other Derby he's reffed we won 2-0.

as long as he awards the legit goals we score, we'll be fine.

To be fair on the Huns one he looked to the linesman, who had a perfect view, he didn't give it so neither did Clancy

Naw he bottled it. Had a perfectly good view as television evidence proved. Wanted someone else to make an easy decision easier.

Will the same assistants be with him or do they get moved around?

Moved around it's not the same assistants.

Hopefully he's quick to dish out bookings when they hack down our players on the half way line to stop attacks building.

That's a given for all areas of pitch.

Don't be in the slightest bit surprised if there are lots of "decisions" in favour of Hearts.

How do u get to this conclusion,’?

If we are worrying about the referee then we are in trouble.

Let’s just play better and beat them

What’s your thinking there? Strange comment.

Certainly not the worst we could have got.

However, lets start the sweep on what big decision hearts are gonna get this time. Seems to be a bit of a derby tradition that that mob get some game-changing decision/stroke of luck in their favour.

First leading elbow challenge...
First leaving the foot in...
First filling through in the tackle...
First hand across McGinn’s neck...

Their hack and hoof yam players get talking to's and let off from deserved yellow or red cards while ours get booked for first time strong but fair challenges is variously a given for the most seriously biased refs.

Hopefully Kevin Clancy is as fair and as objective as is possible.

Its a serious point this. Its an undoubted Yam tactic to disrupt play, not so much hacking down but obstruction and wee taps on the ankle. Look at McGinn's run at the PBS during the last derby where he was fouled twice before he had gone 15 yards.

They Yams continually moan about Marvin Bartley, who in actual fact isn't a dirty player .. their forums are full of comments wanting him cleaned out in the first few minutes and the same about Boyle and McGinn. Even though it wasn't a direct foul look how long Barker lasted in the last game, not to mention a potential leg breaker aimed at McGinn from their new midfield sensation at ER which the same set of fans calling Bartley a dirty player seem to think was the highlight of the evening.

We need a strong ref in this game, lets hope Clancy is up to the job.

There's a fair bit of paranoia here regarding referees. When did this start? That's a Celtic thing isn't it?

I think Clancy is one of our better ones tbf.

I think it's reasonable to "worry about the referee" (and his assistants) in any football match, if he (they) is not doing his (their) job correctly. Hibs played better than Hearts last time, scored a legitimate goal (not given - all struck blind) which ultimately would have won the match. Instead, it ended a draw.

What’s your thinking there? Strange comment.

See above reply and the one below.

Correct. The amount of decisions which have gone against Hibs in this fixture for years is frankly very strange. But it's all down to incompetence. Every time...
