Alright hibees, currently doing my uni dissertation on football hooliganism in Scotland and would be quality if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this short survey which looks at your views / experiences of policing, media reporting eg keef jacksun:blah: and the extent of hooliganism nowadays vs the past. All submissions are completely anonymous, feel free to drop me a pm if you have any questions or want to find out more about the study.

Cheers :thumbsup:ps if you get a 'browser is not supported' message just ignore it.

Call me a cynic but, this one seems a bit dodgy does it not?
I think almost the exact same thread was put onto Sickbag two or three days ago and not one person answered.
I may well be wrong of course!

If your on safari don’t bother. After filling it all in it tells you it doesn’t support your browser when you try to submit.

Have you read any of Richard Giulianotti's work about his time running with the ASC? Probably a bit out of date now but some fairly fascinating and in-depth analysis from a sociological perspective.

Good luck with your studies. Surprised no mention of Scotlands sectarian shame as a possible reason for hooliganism in your survey.

Will have a look at his work, studying criminology so it sounds like that’ll be helpful, cheers!

Cheers mate, Aye originally I was looking at sectarianism as well but opens up a whole new can of worms & I was advised to just focus on a couple of main topics [emoji1360]

He didn't "run with Aberdeen" he went along and observed. He also did this with the Hibs Mob. Here is an article about him travelling to Europe with the Hibs Mob I 1992.

All the best and fair play for doing the research properly rather than making stats and evidence up like someone else may have when they did their dissertation :greengrin

Sorry, poor wording on my part, I certainly didn't mean to suggest he was involved in any violence.
I think his association with the Aberdeen casuals was undercover to some extent, at least initially. I could be wrong though.
