Was a slight improvement on 2016 (besides the cup win) for me but still pretty *****.

It was great. Had an awesome honeymoon in New Zealand, various other fun trips and celebrated my 1st wedding anniversary.
Hibs got promoted anaw. What's not to like?

Easy to focus on the negative in 2017 because it's what the media love to report but there was plenty positive news as well:
No fatalities on commercial aircrafts in 2017, the 1st time ever in a calendar year.
A major breakthrough in the treatment of Huntingtons Disease.
Giant Pandas downgraded from 'endangered' for the 1st time in 2 decades.
Measles and leprosy took a step closer to being officially wiped out.
Costa Rica was 100% powered by renewable energy for 300 days.
For all the negativity surrounding the US and the Paris agreement their CO2 emissions actually dropped to their lowest level since 1991.
China began taking steps to close down it's ivory trade.
Roy Moore lost in Alabama.
Australia passed legislation to bring in marriage equality.
France and The Netherlands rejected the far right in elections.
Women driving, being allowed some access to further education and cinemas opening in Riyadh are small but positive steps forward for Saudi Arabia.
There's nearly 700 more wild tigers in the wild than there were in 2010.
There is obviously caveats and qualifications with a lot of that but it's certainly a reminder there are good people doing good things amongst the gloom.
