What the hell goes on at East Mains we have team who apart from Stokes and McGinn are completely unwilling to have a shot at goal when anyway near or in the box. Do they all need.it.tobe sitting.perfectly, with no defenders near.them and on their good foot before.they might shoot ? Every game.its the same.get.in a position want another touch, offload to another player, try to walk it in, all told we.are a very shot shy team and have been for a long time now ...why arent the.players.being told to shoot.on sight ? You watch games.every week where teams.score.with shots from a bit of distance, from deflected shots, but very rarely us, Having a shot at goal is another option to the teams it in, it should be a built in part of our players game.

Couldn't agree more. It's was the same in the championship years.

That's what's good about having Swanson back, he isn't shy in having a shot. Wish mcgeouch especially would start shorting more often

They are trying to work a better chance, SJM had a couple second half one over and an excellent one off the bar.

We've seen Slivka score a beaut from outside the box already and he has scored a few screamers for his country...just saying

I'm pretty sure McGeouch is worried that if he shoots from outside the box it might not reach the goal or something. Extraordinary the amount of possession we have 25 yards from goal without getting a shot away

Thats why I identified him and Stokes at the start, both aren't shot shy but Stokes does tend.to want an extra touch , we overplay it around the box, and it makes it easier.for.teams to defend against whereas if players are known to be willing to shoot on sight defenders need to step out a bit further creating a bit more space for slipped passes as well... duel benefit.
