Looks like Aberdeen are getting themselves prepared to make sure they finish second again. McGinn signed and lots of reports about Christie signing on a permanent deal. We should definitely be interested in Christie who looks a cracking player and has the potential to be a SJM type signing with spending a few quid to make a few more.

Hopefully, our scouting team is on the ball and can get some signings in early in the window so they can be up to speed when the break finishes. We are in a good position in the league and we might not get as good a chance to push for 2nd or 3rd for a while so it is worth trying to speculate, sensibly, if the players are available. Aberdeen are showing that they are,

We’re a few years behind Aberdeen, so just need to keep building

Their manager will have been promised funds as part of the bribe to knock back the Huns. We're a few years behind them in the field and years ahead off it. At some stage, they'll need to plow ££££ into a stadium and we'll then overtake them as the 2nd force.

Knock the Jambos out the cup, and 4th place will probably guarantee European football

IMO, we'll be pushing them in 2 years time. our challenge, as well as theirs, is to keep rangers out of 2nd place for as long as possible and hope that smeltic have a crap year at some point.

They need to get themselves a new stadium and training ground if they have any ambition.

Plus they keep bottling it against the Celtic which isn’t exactly helping their cause.

Aberdeen are very strong and streetwise on the park with an excellent manager and extremely secure off it with continual investment. We are a few seasons behind them.

Thought top 3 only get into Europe?

Would be 4th if the cup winners are already there. I think the assumption is that Hearts are the most likely side outside the top 4 to win it, so knocking them out would help that happen.
