Beast Epic by Iron & Wine just shading it from Gerry Cinnamon's Erratic Cinematic for me.

Notable efforts also from The Charlatans, Ride, Mogwai, Daughter & Shed 7 too. It's been a decent year for music.

Honourable mentions for After Laughter by Paramore (not my usual taste at all), Humanz by Gorillaz, Visions of a Life by Wolf Alice and Big Fish Theory by Vince Staples but I'd go for American Dream by LCD Soundsystem as my choice.

My list would include

Charlatans - Different Days
Temples - Volcano
Neon Waltz - Strange Hymns

And probably Noel's album albeit I think it's only 60% great

:agree: mines too

My second best gig of this year as well - a rip snorting show at Sneaky Pete's, and looking forward to seeing them in new year in Glasgow.

Who Built the Moon - Noel Gallagher (probably one of the few big Noel fans who loves the new sound)

Covers, Volume1 - Abandoning Sunday (an excellent album of covers)
