As if that's not enough I notice all their new "Skylink" buses are blue and white.

The Traveline Scotland app is better. It's got First Bus And Citilink as well as Lothian and it's Hibs-friendly.

Maroon and white has been their colour scheme since they were formed right up until fairly recently. Edinburgh council colours.
