Which is a loose term in itself. What are the criteria for 'very restricted'? They should be half price, IMO.
They shouldn't really be sold at all! The SPFL should be having a say on matters like these, fans getting a 6.66% discount to go and see football that they can't really see! Seriously??

Is the very front row in the lower section classed as 1 and it numbered the full way up, or does the numbering start again at the gangway / start of upper section?

Front row is 1 (lower section) and goes up to 28 I think. I would imagine the lower numbers will be impacted more.

Does anyone else think that this might be a safety risk or lead to potential trouble as fans will stand in areas where they can see more or push across when a breakaway happens and they want to see what’s going on. The stewards are going to have a nightmare.

Thinking similar - expect a lot of standing in aisles and on the walkway near the TV shed.

Yup. People are buying a ticket to gain access to the stand. Once inside I can see it being carnage with people in restricted view seats trying to stand anywhere that isn't restricted view.

They are so skint they are resorting to thieving from rival fans (makes a change from their own) - wish our club had refused the tickets as I think there will be v disappointed pissed off fans seeing as much action as if they had a radio. Think it might be a blessing in disguise I missed out.
I do not think Hibs have looked out for the fans best interest on this occassion when you look at the prices charged, especially when they said they went to check it out themselves. Hope I am wrong

Logically, the easiest way is for SKY to impersonate BT for the night and bin the studio.

I couldn't see the game in the Away Ticket section of the site so I phoned the ticket office.
The girl there logged on to my client ref number and got me the six I needed.
Didn't even expect the phone to be answered so well done her.
Glad you glad your tickets but this was an online sales only so the club are making it up as they go along yet again. I tried for another 30 minutes for two together but my son will be disappointed again. Last week we had the queue that wasn't a queue and now we have online sales only which turn out to include phone sales

Also taking into account it is a night game there are going to be a large amount of boozed up fans at this game. Not ideal.
Are people really saying hibs are in the wrong somehow? We can’t tell hearts how much they can charge and if we’d refused the allocation people would be going mental because “hibs denied them the chance to be in the ground”.
They’ve also done the right thing by confirming the extra sale after it’s all been agreed and confirmed. Communication is relatively good at our club but you can’t please an element of our support who expect the club to inform them every time someone at the ground goes for a dump.

The club have done absolutely nothing wrong in this instance.
They have made folk aware its restricted view and also posted images on social media to give an idea of how restricted it will be. This is a league game for Hearts so Hibs have absolutely no control over how many tickets we are allocated , where they are allocated within the stadium or the pricing.
There is only one guilty party in all of this and it certainly aint Hibs.

The picture used in the Scotsman doesn't seem too bad, just the corner to the side of the box people wouldn't see. Although, it's not clear if that's the worst of the restricted views or not - 600 seats is quite a lot so there will be a variety of views.

Some so called Hibs fans need to have a word with themselves.. To blame the club for this is quite frankly ridiculous, this is down to that shower of brass necked mutants across the city , the only club who could spend 15 million on ground improvements yet make the **** hole worse.. I do think the re-introducing of a loyalty points system will make life easier for everyone moving forward for our supporters , but dont see how this one goes back to Hibs

No luck again for me. Got in at 10.03 and kept getting the usual message in red. Tried for about 40 minutes until Hibs released the statement saying 'sold out'.
TV it is, not ideal but I managed to get to Tynecastle the last twice (once thanks to loyalty points and once due to luck) and Ibrox earlier this season. Missed out on Celtic Park and Tynecastle this time. That's life.

The old economic law of supply and demand When we have as many season ticket holders as we do there are always going to be people prepared to pay over the odds for a commodity they want but couldn't buy through The Club
I know someone who paid 140 quid for two tickets for the Rangers game
Everyone expects us to extend our run to nine in a row and its a while since folk could say i saw every game in that winning run
Don't think a win for us can be taken for granted but its a sign of the increased expectation from an increased fan base that now go regularly to see Hibs
Your never going to stop that happening

Exactly what I was thinking. Even in the less restricted seats behind the garden shed I can see fans standing up & other fans behind getting annoyed. Has real potential for trouble. I've been supportive of Hibs over this but like many I feel we should have said a max of £10 for the very restricted views, otherwise stick them.

If it's only the corner section of the pitch that I can't see then I'm totally fine with that. I'm 19 rows up the stand so will be able to see most of the pitch.

Block H row 3 seat 4 for me
There is no way they'll be selling ticket for the low rows that are right behind the TV 'box' as Hibs have confirmed every seat on sale will be in view of both sets of goals. Seat 4 must be to the left of the TV box, so you're view won't be restricted apart from maybe just the corner flag

This goes back to hibs because their ticket website is utterly crud, incapable of dealing with high demand. I got up on time, spent 40 adrenaline fueled minutes refreshing and clicking whilst other people on here appeared to be getting their tickets bought no bother. It might be ticketmaster that are doing a crap job, but it's ultimately hibs responsibility. I'm not that bothered about the tickets tbh, they've gone to good hibees, it's the the stress of fannying around like that for no good reason that i'm pissed off eith.

There were a couple of wind up merchants on here claiming they strolled on and got tickets without queuing at all. You can’t believe them if you want. I’ll call them what they are, liars.
The system was stretched due to high demand and people logging on with multiple devices yet around 2000 tickets were sold in forty minutes. It worked as well as can be expected. We all knew some of us were going to miss out beforehand.

It's not hibs ticket website it's ticketmasters. Hibs obviously know about the problems cause it gets moan about constantly and if there was an east fix then surely it would have happened.
Makes you think it's not as simple as just getting a better website. As far as I know ticketmaster is the biggest online retailer so you would assume their online system would be the most efficient. There probably isn't much hibs can do about this.

Hibs could try another supplier, try another loyalty scheme, do a lottery for tickets, communicate what is happening earlier, not have queues that aren't really queues etc. If the system is unfair, and it is because you can go online before someone but they get a ticket and you don't, then it should be looked at. The obvious solution given the board don't value loyalty away from home is a lottery. Stop wasting fans time with the current lottery.

Doubt it’ll be back anytime soon. I was within earshot of Frank Dougan at Pittodrie when someone was bending his ear about it and his reply (which I agree with by the way ) to said person was that he should have used the away season ticket if he wanted to be sure of a ticket.

We discussed a number of points re the problems I had with the official site today. The only reference to the assistance given to Iggy Pope was there might be repercussions if this was the case. If Iggy got tickets this way I don't have a problem with this. Fair play to him. What I did not appreciate was ticket office staff going online to Hibs Net to prove the posting did not exist.

Looking at the Gorgie end pictures, I made a quick mock up addition to the roseburn end of the pbs, possibly what to expect for the restricted view seats.

There were a couple of wind up merchants on here claiming they strolled on and got tickets without queuing at all. You can’t believe them if you want. I’ll call them what they are, liars.
sorry, but you're just wrong on this. I had 2 pcs open with the grey circle going nowhere. Tried on my iphone and got straight in to the eticketing website with no queue.
is this fair - no , its not.
Is this a lie - no, its not.
It highlights a fault or a glitch with the ticketmaster system. I totally agree that it shouldnt happen but it did.

I predict chaos when those with obstructed view tickets decide to sit/stand elsewhere once in the stand. Arguments galore!

If you want to post the way you did with an excess of !!!! to a fellow Hibby you crack on. I hope this is enough enlightenment for you.
Strange post. Anyone would think you were stirring up trouble.
Anyhows....picked them up this morning and the Ticket Office staff couldn't have been nicer. Had problems with them before, a lot of us have. This past while though, a credit to our club.

I can see many fans locked out like the last time being told the ground was full. I’d be making sure I’m in the ground early this time.
Aye, you’re not wrong there, I’ll
Be doing the same

What were the restricted views like then?
I don't think many of the seats in the lower section were restricted .. might have been some issues with the near corner flag area with some of the upper section.

[QUOTE=hibee_girl;5259846]What were the restricted views like
One row from the back. Could see everything except the corner flag and a few metres around it. No worries as the ball was rarely in that area as it spent most of the evening in low earth orbit

From row 19 very unrestricted. The flag itself was the only thing I couldn't see, albeit I happily couldn't see a couple of rows worth of sparryheids either. Missed nothing.in fact, I clearly had a better view than the Wheatfield lino.
