A photo, by itself, is inconclusive.

The view from the front is even more conclusive. However the answer is obvious. The goalie plays for Celtic and the striker plays for Hibs. The chance of a referee giving a last minute penalty and ending the unbeaten run must have the highest odds against in history.

Just had a look at it on Hibs TV, don't think Gordon impedes Oli, the ball is almost at Lustig's foot at the point that photo is taken.

It's not a penalty because Gordon in no way impacts upon the shot that Oli has taken. He's - almost literally - out of the picture until well after the shot is hit.

Advantage played?

It's nothing to do with the shot but the fact he is grappling with an opposing player in the penalty area.Fouls are frequently given from corners or free kicks when the ball is nowhere near so nothing different about this.

He impeded Shaw from following up and potentially being in position to take advantage of a clearance. If one of our defenders had wrestled Sinclair to the ground as their other player struck the post then there would have been no Celtic first goal. Good chance there would have been a penalty though

Late challenge?

I reckon the number of times attackers are fouled by defenders after the attacker has taken a shot averages at least one per game. When it's a pass (rather than a shot) anywhere on the pitch other than in the box, it's usually a foul and often at least a yellow card. One of the major inconsistencies in the refereeing of games.

Penalty all day long. As said, stops him following in for possible rebound.

Tierney on Boyle in the first half when Gordon saved with his legs is the perfect example of that.
