It seems pretty obvious that Brenda's Rodgers doesn't fancy leigh Griffiths in his team.
Now let's imagine they would like to sign sjm,if the only option was a straight swap no cash involved, who would go for it.
Personally I would.

LGs bank manager wouldn't but yeah I would do that deal.

Don't think he'd take the wage cut, but in theory it's not a bad deal, scores barrowloads and probably not even hit his peak yet

I would give them £1,000,000 and SJM for leigh, we would be pissing goals and could probably bring hendo home, or sign nial mcginn, or just make do with what we have - we have an embarassment of riches in midfield but not enough goals coming from there. Leigh would guarantee us 25 goals a season, which is hard to put a price on.

LG and cash circa 1.5m. take some of that and pay Leigh a decent signing on fee to compensate wages. I would go for that.

I would definitely do that deal and I mean that as no disrespect to McGinn who is a fantastic young player.

However Griffiths almost guarantees you at least 30 goals per season and goals win games.

Sadly it's not something we're going to have to worry about any time soon.

We should make a cheeky £1m bid regardless. He'd earn it all back and more.

Given that the Old Firm constantly take the pish regarding derisory offers for our players I would never offer them £1m for anyone.

In football terms I'd take the straight swap as LG would score 30+ for us a season, without a doubt. If only we could afford him.

What's he getting at Celtic? 20k per week?

Not sure why I have this figure in my head but I think it’s to do with him getting wages deducted for sing about Rudi. But seem to think it was quoted as a fortnights wages = £15,000. However I could be totally wrong.

We couldn't possibly afford him currently. In a perfect world, aye, get the deal done.

What if they accept the bid, where would we find £1m ?

Would be nice to do though.
