We will have played them for the last time by then. The only people this would benefit would be our rivals.

No, however that is not until May. Celtic will not be in Europe in May so this game at the start of February will make no difference to us, unless their players get long term injuries, which even then wouldn’t benefit us in the slightest as they would just bring in someone as good.
