I wonder if Lennon plays one up top against the ‘big’ teams as a means to an end. We seem to do well when we change formation around the hour mark but maybe we couldn’t do it well enough for the full 90. I don’t know but I do think Stokes plays better when he is deeper and has someone else up front.

Barker is a weird one eh? Clearly if he has one thing it’s pace! The only time he decided to utilise that today he bossed their defender and almost created a goal.

Exactly! He's on the pitch to do one thing and that's take on defenders but he just doesn't do it enough, and then he's contributing nothing.

What really annoys me about him is that he doesn't make runs in behind off the ball, he just stands still at the touch line waiting to get a pass to feet.

Stokes was poor against tavernier at Ibrox and lost the head through frustration that it wasn't going for him when he dragged him by the neck to the floor. This is the game Stokesy will turn up in though, just got a feeling he's about to produce a big performance again
