Sinclair has ripped this league a new one over the last couple of years....
But in typical hibs fans fashion let's give Whittaker pelters
He's a ****ing spectator. Worse than having only 10 men.

Lennon and the players deserve a roasting for this performance. Yes it’s Celtic but Jesus this is brutal. Again far to much respect sick to the back teeth of being scared of them.
I’ve no arguments they have a quality side, but they’ve not left 2nd gear this afternoon.
Agreed and have looked very very comfortable. We haven’t turned up simple as that.

There is no disgrace in losing to Celtic, all you need to do is look at the two forwards on their bench to see the gulf between the teams.
Having said that, we are more then capable of giving them a game but have been disappointing. Our home form (not just today) is really killing us.

Celtic stepping up a gear and have got the better of us, the money they spend on transfer fees and wages gets them the quality of player they need to win games, we've played well in parts but is it possible to truly compete against them?

Disappointed not to have won and I think had we got in their faces more first half we'd have put more past them.
You see Celtic making school boy errors in Europe and being bullied off the ball and part of that, despite the quality they're up against, is down to teams playing them without any fear. They're not used to having to fight week in week out and our midfield had them on toast when it came down to it.

It's because celtc are a good team, we done well today in that last 20 minutes but the other parts of the game were difficult and we nearly fell apart.
They are ona ridiculous run but to suggest everyone sits in is daft, the runs that long that teams should just attacked but when you do that against celtc you can get a complete demoralising hiding.

Yup, I actually really like Efe at right back. He's not the quickest (though neither is Whittaker) but it means any Efe moments are away from the goal and he can be a little more adventurous.
McGregor is too good a player to have on the bench.

Fantastic result despite a number of things being against us. 1. NL made a mistake in playing Whittaker he isnt ready and has lost his pace , at fault for both goals. 2. Referee refused to book Celtic captain for a long list of fouls but books Bartley when he clearly took the ball and then got clattered by Celtic Player. 3. 4th official who cannot get numbers right and refuses to let our sub on despite player already off. 4. We let them dictate play and go 2 up before we started to play yet again.
In the end we nearly beat them but I hope we have a much better attitude from the start on Wednesday night.

We've played 2 dodgy passes that could have cost us and Ambrose didn't make either of them
Ill watch it back later. Certain Ambrose not putting his foot through it led to at least 1 if not 2 chances for them

Early doors Ambrose played a decent enough pass to marvin that Marvin waited for and was robbed of possesion,I thought it was marvins fault, mcgeouch nearly cost us 2 goals with slack passes and whittaker also had a similar moment.

I’d play Stokesy and Shaw together against the huns!
On another note, that’s twice we’ve played Celtic in the league, and twice we’ve been half disappointed with a draw 😂

They should have seen it out but he’s a cheek saying that given they got a huge break for the first and a massive deflection for the second. Both teams had 5 attempts on target each - still think we did enough to deserve a point.

Has our £5m midfielder touched the ball in the 2nd half? Or is this another game he's been bossed by Brown and co?
But then we're not allowed to criticise Super John
Wow ....negativity in full flow here, and obviously someone who doesn't rate McGinn, most folk that know football must have it wrong about McGinn then. Do you ever watch a game and assess the whole game and how players play throughout or just select the parts that aren't that great and forget to acknowledge when they are good ? And this isn't a defence of McGinn ! But from where was sitting at the game, he bossed Brown all first half hence Broony getting wound up committing 6-7 fouls and trying to get McGinn booked. So outwith a 15 minute drop in performance, the 5 million pound man got back on it again and drove us forward whenever he could, especially when they went 2 up. Not sure why you want to have a pop at one of our best players, So what have you got against McGinn ?

Was it a lucky point?
Yes, we worked hard for it in the last 15 and were fortunate to get 2 goals, Celtic could have easily been 3 up at half time after we rode our luck and fortunately for us Celtic didn't put away the chances we gifted them. We were lucky to take a point today even if we almost stole it at the death. Makes it all the sweeter and it feels more like a win than a draw.

The equaliser was just tremendous. Stokes' pass was about the only thing he did all match, but who's complaining?
Thought we played too deep in the first half, some nice breaks but 0-0 at half time seemed fare at the time.
Whittaker was very poor for both goals, unfortunately the guy is past it and must have the best agent in the world to get a 3 year deal out of us.
Great fighting finish and got just what we deserved and very unlucky not to snatch a win at the death.
I thought Beaton was an absolute disgrace today, Brown managed 5 fouls zero booking and he bottled sending off the Celtic defender near the end, an joke of a referee, he should be ashamed of himself.

Brilliant end to the game. Stokes cannot play up front on his own and we were a totally different team when Shaw came on. No idea how Lennon left Whitts on for so long. He is either injured(that's what I've heard) or finished and we had at least a couple of ways of changing things to give us someone to nullify Sinclair. I thought Boyle was excellent at times and played well and Stevenson had another great game. I would far rather Lennon went a wee bit more offensive and gave Celtic something to think about but credit where it is due we got the point and can look forward to the next two games with optimism. Shaw must be due a few more minutes in games as Lennon clearly doesn't rate Murray very highly.

That was me, and tbh it was in reference to everyone having a pop at Whittaker which was embarrassing in all honesty.
It certainly was not mcginn's best game of the season, far from it imo. He had an ok first half and played a fantastic ball to Boyle which led to our first shot but other than that I felt he was poor until around 70 mins. In fact our whole midfield was. Dylan gave the ball away too much and Marv wasn't overly effective today. We had between 15 and 20% possession in that 70 mins and for me our midfield needed to get a hold of the ball and get further up the park.
Over the 90 mins the only players I felt played at a consistent level were Stevenson and Boyle.
Another poster accused me of having something against mcginn, far from it I just personally think he should be the driving force and giving Celtic more to worry about. He's a fantastic player

He wasn't motm imo. Boyle was. Just because he got voted doesn't mean it's right. He was voted player of the league last season and wasn't our best player (McGregor was)
And I feel I've made some valid points RE mcginn. The ones about Whittaker were over the top imo

At 0-2 I'm sure we all felt the task was hopeless, but what tremendous team spirit we displayed. A comeback like that, when it would have been very easy to get disheartened, is a very positive sign. It's evidence of high morale and mental strength. Many past Hibs side would have folded at 0-2, but today was very encouraging. It's also a lift going into the Rangers game; we can beat them, as we've already proved.

Can’t believe there’s been no mention of Rocky, who for me, was MOTM today. At least 3 or 4 saves with his feet that definitely kept us in the game. OK, they were not the most spectacular saves you’ll ever see but crucial they most definitely were. Even think he might have saved their 2nd had it not deflected into the net.
All opinion of course.
To sum up, great comeback after being ‘dominated’(?) for most of the game. And that last minute chance to win it? I was up off my seat so quick and sat down even quicker when that big skinny Swede got his long skinny leg in the way to clear it away. Ah well. On another day.............?!

There was a moment at 2 - 2 when one of their players (mrgregor?) was through on goal and Efe just put his foot on the ball an turned taking it with him. It was such a class piece of defending, so composed.
We saw the best and worst of Efe today but I'm still glad he's in our team. Love the guy. When Daz is back I hope we have space for him, I still would like to see him in the DM role, where Hanlon and McGregor can cover if he has a slip and he can do those surging runs without leaving a hole in central defence.
