I'm very pleased to see that they have allowed disabled fans the opportunity to register their interest before everyone else's tickets go on sale. Due to being unable to attend the ticket office as an out-of-towner and the fact that disabled tickets are not available to purchase online, it has been a nightmare to call up on the day that tickets go on sale for a big match.

Allowing disabled fans to email the club before the general sale and then arrange for payment afterwards has worked well on the few occasions it has been done that way in the past and I'm glad that's happening again for this match.

Well done Hibs.

Spending all night or early morning standing in a queue outside Easter Road in December is just ludicrous. By setting aside just 400 tickets, that is only going to encourage people to arrive at an even more ridiculous time to make sure they are within the threshold.
Are we really saying this is a more satisfactory practice than a points based scheme? Can't get my head round it at all.

What’s this upper and lower they go on about? They meaning that if you’re above their little walkway it means you’re in an upper tier and have to pay more?

I wonder if that applies to their ST holders too.

They’d be as well charging an extra 50p for each row further back you go. They’ve missed a trick here.

This should be done via a ballot of client ref numbers, IMO. It's crazy that many people won't even be able to get access to the ticket page because of high traffic, and others can't be online at noon. At least give everyone eligible to apply for tickets a chance.

The club agree, that’s why they done away with in person sales for a game recently. Then there was a section of support who kicked up a fuss so they have reintroduced it, albeit for a smaller no of tickets.

But people want it, so the club are listening. Everyone else can fight it out online for the bigger percentage of tickets. I agree though, mental to want to queue overnight in this weather if you have a choice (some may not of course), but each to their own.

On the eticketing page the game isn't up yet and don't imagine it will be until 12, Surely when the game appears that will be when everyone is put into a queue so does logging on hours before really make much difference ? Fellow Hibs fans have asked for the reinstatement of the Loyalty scheme or a ballot but these fans clearly don't have a voice. How many people actually asked to stand out in the cold in December. I bet there are more posts on here suggesting Loyalty schemes or ballots than there were supporters asking to queue up.

I will be wasting time today dealing with a terrible ticketing system in what is essentially a ballot as there is no rhyme nor reason as to how the e-ticketing works. Why not make it a ballot.

I had tried calling at 12:00 on the dot on the 0844 number! 10 times I tried the majority I was using option 2 as someone had advised me this was the way to buy tickets. Turns out it put me to the ticket offfice who then said you need to use the 0844 number (which I was using) and go to option 1. On option 1 it spraffs something about all home games now being on sale and to hit 1 to continue and just rang out.

I tried like 10 times so god help my phone bill haha!

Thankfully my mate had the online side of things covered and got 2 tickets. So relieved. It’s a horrible system IMO - despite having tickets, I think something needs to be done. Loyalty points or some system anything other than 13000 people realistically could go together and may the luckiest people win.

Buzzing though!

This is just a shambles and the sooner Dempster recognises it and reinstates loyalty points the better. Hearts run theirs perfectly fine, we need to do the same. People who wouldn't be seen dead in the away end at Dingwall or Aberdeen swanning into Tynecastle, seems fair.

(FWIW I only make about 2 or 3 aways a season and wouldn't necessarily benefit from a loyalty points system, just think it's what's right.)

completely agree - was fortunate enough to get a couple...but loyalty points is the most simple way..

Spurs ask for applications....work out a points level and then allocate tickets to those with right number of points (and have applied)...they then have a set number of days to accept or reject..then next levels are offered....it's so simple and works

If we were selling out away grounds every week, then people would be a more accepting of lottery's to secure tickets, but given the size of our travelling support, there is absolutely no excuses from the board to not have a system in place to ensure those regular travellers are catered for when it comes to the biggest away games of our season at our city rivals. No excuse at all.

Same thing happened with me, kept saying none available. but I kept trying and got one at 12:40. Guessing someone must have been unable to proceed with tickets in their basket.

While I am naturally delighted I have a ticket, the system is still a shambles. If LD is adamant that the loyalty scheme will not be reintroduced then the ticketmaster setup needs reviewed. I had logged in at 11:58 on my PC and at 12:30 the grey circle was only 3/4 of the way round. I saw someone on here mention they had tried on their phone (thank you) so tried that and got logged in immediately. If loyalty points are not going to be used we may as well do it on a ballot. If loyalty points are not going to be used we may as well do it on a ballot. That way folk dont have to arrange to be around a computer at a certain time and folk dont get (rightly) pissed off when the system appears to allow some people in but not others. I got a ticket btw so its not sour grapes from me.

I agree. I'd also say that those that didn't get a ticket for 27th should have a better shot at getting one for the cup game.

As others have said, its pure luck anyway with the online system so may as well just make it a ballot and save everyone the hassle

Logged straight in and bought 2 five minutes ago. First away game in a few years, delighted!

Don't think you've ever posted anything other than words that would come from the mind of a walloper.

can someone explain to me the way a queue works? how can I be in a "queue" from 11:45 get access to the website at 12:25 but then not be able to get even a single ticket from 12:25 to 13:00 in any block yet people can log on at 12:30 and get there second lot of tickets or get in straight away for the first time and get as many as they please.

Its a disgrace that there is no scheme in place to reward fans who go home and away every week. Im not saying a loyalty points scheme is perfect but if its going to be a free for all for all season ticket holders then do what the old firm do for Hampden, a lottery at least thats fair and if you get a ticket in the first away derby you don't get entered for the second away game, again like what the old firm do with semi's and finals.

Another example of a huge **** up by hibs in regards to tickets.

Im not demanding the right to a ticket but there should be something in place to reward "loyalty" and the fact that a queue that quite clearly prefers access from certain browsers and devices etc should be scrapped or at least we should be advised which would work best in terms of browser and devices.

That being said a big family and friends get to gather to watch it won't quite be as good but I tell you what seeing us hump them 3-0 will be just as sweet.

Hibs have released a statement on the official site confirming a sell out.

You’d think it would stop letting you try to buy tickets if it’s sold out.
Nightmare.

We used a ballot for a cup game v Stenhousemuir years ago, 94 maybe? Sure those who missed out got to watch on big screens at Murrayfield Ice Rink.

When we had the loyalty point system people complained ? Now we don’t have it people complain ?

It appears that the club can’t win

Do they still do the away season ticket ? That seems like a good solution for those that go to every game

Got in at 12:02 even single seats sold out then at 12:25 Managed to get 10 tickets. Not sure if this was down to tickets being released from basket or transactions not being completed. Glad I got a tickets but something has to be done about this lottery.

Bets on when the first person starts queuing at the ticket office!

They should get the Favorita Pizza truck down there

imagine queueing to get into a shop to get the new PlayStation or something. You can queue all night to make sure you’re the first in the door but the person behind you still might get to the aisle first.

Lotalty points need to come back but as far as online sales go there isn’t anything the club have done wrong. When you have demand exceeding supply by 2-300% people will miss out and they’ll blame the system.

Interesting too that people were on here complaining about how much of a joke and shambles it was while others were still on the site picking up tickets.

Is it still done through ticket master?

I assume so so any negativity aimed at hibs is out of their control. Ticketmaster need to sort their systems. Its the same for gigs a pure lottery and the 'queue' system doesnt work.

I got kevin bridges tickets about 3pm a few weeks back when it was meant to be sold out hours before as i left my browser open and forgot about it. Refreshed it outta curiosity and got through to ssy 4 tickets were avaiable.
In my mind it cant be hard to have a i.t system make it fair for first come serve in a queue.

Each season ticket holder should be able to get a "joker" to use once a season. Which gets you online a day early and it gets used up if you are successful.

That way you let everyone get to choose which one they want a better chance on Huns, Mini Huns, Tims, Cup Final you choose.

I believe Hibs pay a certain amount for a certain 'package'. Therefore the 'package' the club appear to have in place struggles to cope with demand.

Well done to all the lucky people that got tickets. First time I can ever remember not getting a ticket for a game despite trying for a single ticket from about 12.20. The lottery is a waste of a lot of peoples time. The loyalty points system surely needs reviewed, or at least a ballot to save people wasting there time for nothing.

What a total joke of a system, missed 3 games all season in all competitions yet unable to get a ticket whereas folk who have friends that are season ticket holders have got tickets no problem. Systems a joke, really makes you think, why bother travelling up to Aberdeen for a 12pk kick off, to Dingwall, Alloa in the league cup because the club clearly don't give a toss. Shambles of a system, as a season ticket holder that attends almost every away game, I may aswell not bother because the club don't care about the extra effort you make as long as they get their money. Whoevers idea it was to scrap loyalty points should be sacked and never let near the club again.
