What's a Rak su?
I too had no idea.
Luckily I have access to the world wide web and a quick search suggests they are modern beat combo airing on a TV show called the X Factor.
I stopped my search at that point.

And you did the right thing. Another boy band another x factor series. Single fish.

Have you watched it this year? I know the answer so no need for a reply.
The three finalists are not your usual X Factor type.
Two of them have sung their own songs all the way through. Most would be hits if they had released them. Both are not your usual "let's imitate others" type. Both very original especially Rak-su.
The third is a rocker singing Led Zeppelin.
Both Rak-su and Grace are going to have great careers. Not a boyband in sight.

Yes. I've watched it with my kids. They think Rak Su are pants (as do I), but they quite like Grace.
Writing your own stuff doesn't make you great. For me Grace, the best of the acts, is just another lassie singing faddish material. Yeh she has a really good voice - but then there's probably ten to fifty thousand people in the UK that have that particular gift
The rocker guy is frequently off key and again lacks any real originality. Though you seem to think that a rocker singing rock is some kind of sensational new development in pop culture.
But then great artists can't be made to order and certainly not by Cowell and co on X factor.
Still, the money spinning tour of the X factor winners and losers looks a laugh. Might take the bairns.

Grace is an Adele rip off, rak su I can understand why kids would like, but their tunes are just the same 4 line chorus repeated over and over for 4 minutes.
I hate manufactured pop music with a passion but for some reason get sucked into X factor when my missus watches it. The good guys never win though, that che chesterman that was on a year ir two ago was an absolutely incredible singer, but of course he lost out to another blonde teenager who sounds like everyone else. Same last year with the awesome and irreverent Sara Alto losing out to the dull as dirty dishwater Matt Terry.
Rak Su will win tonight, have 2 or 3 hits next year and then be forgotten about.

I don't really mind X Factor, I just accept it for what it is. I can see the appeal for people who believe they have a talent; it's a relatively short and easy route to life changing money and exposure. If your goal is to sing pop songs and be famous then it certainly beats the old fashioned route of busking, open mic nights and gigs in front of 10 people with no guarantee of ever being in the right place at the right time.
I watched the auditons this year and the lack of originality was obvious early on. Every girl was either belting away like Adele or whispering in that nasally voice a la Ellie Goulding and as soon as you saw a guy with a beard and a guitar you knew Ed Sheeran wasn't going to be far from your thoughts. Throw in the odd token 'street' act and you have the set. Pop music is all a fad though and it makes sense to audition in a way that marks you as someone who will have a few hits in the current climate. Let's be honest no one who wants something innovative or original is looking at the charts anyway so it's neither here nor there if X Factor winners tick either of those boxes.

We watched the auditions, boot camp and the first couple of weeks of the live shows. I didn’t remember Rak Su from the earlier stages and when they performed in the first week of the live shows, I genuinely thought they were the professional act that they get on to promote a new single. I was amazed when the judges started passing comment and it became apparent they were contestants.
They are under no circumstances the type of music I’m into but they seemed the finished article.

I wrote a rak su song
Chorus:
Hey guys I seen a girl, she was nice so I'm telling you this
Woo hoo
Hey guys you should check this girl she's so nice
Woooo yeah
(Insert "u wot m8" rap here)
Chorus
(Second "u wot m8" rap)
Chorus
Guy who doesn't sing break dances a little
Chorus
Literally all of their songs

Certainly not my kind of music but got to applaud them (and Grace) for writing their own songs. Watched more of the X-Factor than I'd usually admit to but thought it was far better this year than usual.

It was interesting to read comments from Sloth from the Goonies (aka James Arthur) about this. He was having a rant so it came over as being bitter but the overall point is interesting.
His basic point was that people are describing Rak Su and Grace as being brave and inventive for doing their own songs on the show but that this was the first year that contestants have been allowed to do it. I think he would have loved to have done that when he was on the show but he wasn’t allowed. Reading between the lines and knowing how the ‘application’ process works I would wager that the producers actively sought out acts like these two to put on the show in an attempt to freshen up a dying format.
Edit: I’m not sure it has always been the case that you couldn’t perform an original song. I’m pretty sure a few years ago there was a girl who played the guitar that played original songs (possibly quite political ones at that) until she got kicked out for health reasons.
