Does Benny Brazil win this week's competition by falling into the much-criticised, skinny-sized and tall-sized categories?

Anyone know if he has been circumcised?

Benny was never fully appreciated by the fans.

Alan Sneddon often got it tight, as did Joe Totolano. Andy Watson was another player who was often the focus for a lot of abuse ( he was surely the biggst wimp that ever made a decent career out of football?).

Younger fans would be shocked at the levels of vitriol given to our players. An empty ER with the old terracing was a lonely place and there was no getting away from the barracking. Echo chamber springs to mind. Makes todays fans seem like gentle and sensitive souls by comparison.

Brian Hamilton and Super Joe Tortalano were the ones I remember getting most stick.

Stuart Lovell and Lewis Stevenson. Two who didn’t and don’t deserve it.

I always liked Super Tortolano..never a fan of Brian Hamilton who I always thought "flattered to deceive" or Keith Houchen (remember him getting dogs abuse away at Motherwell (we also paid decent money for both of them).

Sadly Ned spoiled the tornadoes. It was his ambition at Aberdeen to team Harper up with Gordon and he gets rid of Alan soon after signing Harper & then Alex Cropley gets sold.

When Harper left we never signed a decent striker until the 80's & Harper played a big part in Aberdeen's rise in the mid to late seventies. His last game for Hibs was scoring five goals in a reserve game.

Joe Tortolano was the Lewis Stevenson of his day.

Neither of them what you would call the greatest players that pulled on a green and white shirt.
BUT - what can’t be disputed is that both gave/give their all every time they played/play. Sometimes you can’t ask for much more than total commitment. Both Joe and Lewis had/have it in spades.

Michael Nelson.

Nelson was one of those players who looked like an astute signing under Fenlon but Butcher ruined. We all called him the Admiral and thought he was just what we needed in the first 2-3 months he played for us.
