We've had a thread about chubbies but what about players that were so skinny that they had to run around in the shower to get wet?

Wullie Murray springs to mind, every time he got tackled I thought he would snap. His pins were so thin they looked like..... well pins.

Kenny Miller and Paul Hartley in their earlier days with us always seemed to have their shirt cuffs flapping about. Hartley is making up for that now by being a fat pie.

Cloughie on former Hibee, Brian Rice: “I’m not saying he’s pale and thin, but the maid in our hotel room pulled back the sheets and remade the bed without realising he was still in it!”

Peter Marinello. There was a great picture of him after scoring at Ibrox in 1969 IIRC and he looked super-skinny!!

Quality.

He's already been mentioned, but he's worth mentioning again. Benny Brazil, not an ounce of fat upon him.

What happened to him? Was he not a great prospect at one point?

Youngest player in SPL and looked like a mascot.

Surely these guys aren’t skinny but just ‘late developers’ (see yesterday’s offishul site)

Peter Crouch was asked what he would be if he wasn't a footballer.
His reply " A virgin". Haha

He wasn't known as the Hulk for nothing. Tony was never slimline.

Cheers - I didn't really think he was to be honest, it was just an excuse to mention that wonderfully happy memory. Great goal from Big T too, if I recall rightly.

Tony had some silky skills for a big galoot. He was a stalwart, but took pelters from the fans often. Wisnae the quickest would be a fair description.

He’s been mentioned already but Benny Brazil is by far the thinnest player we’ve had in my time watching Hibs.

If your talking about “good players” though (sorry Benny), Pat Stanton and Alan Gordon would fit the bill imo.

If you’re look to other teams, always thought Kevin James (ex Falkirk, St Johnstone and ‘them’ for while) was, to put it mildly, a big lanky guy.

Wee Deano was just a slip of a lad when he was doing the business for us. He's filled out a touch now, but could still easily fall into the "skinny" bracket.

HaHa. When I lived in London we seen him play lower league, he wasn't having a great game & my flat mate shouted to him "Your s**te, you couldn't get a game for a pub team",.. when we meet up- I still remind him of it!!!!
