Just watched Paul Lambert backed from 9/1 into 5/2 favourite for the Scotland job.
Bookies never wrong.

It's not the bookies that are or aren't wrong with managerial appointments.

They merely react to betting patterns.

From 9/1 into 5/2 in just over an hour.
I think someone knows something.

Someone may think they do.

He's still 9/1 with Betfred, 8/1 with PP.

Either that or a weak book meaning that it doesn't take a whole heap of cash to shorten odds. Often worth noting which names drift outwards as well.

If they did he would be no offers :greengrin
Him being 5/2 effectively means he is 4/11 not to get it

Charlie Adam saying on soccer am that there’s only one team in Scotland he’d come back for. I never knew he was a Hibby!!

Every bet gets suspended......

It probably got suspended when they knew he was signing for someone else.

Still think it’ll be Michael O’neill that gets the job.

Paul Lambert would be brilliant and add a needed freshness! Here’s hoping..

He’s not done anything to warrant getting this job other than being Scottish and unemployed.

In terms of adding a freshness I think we must be thinking of different Paul Lamberts.

I hope its not Lambert, i'd like our manager to be able to speak English.

I think PL left his freshness in Norwich.

Did he say who to?

He's a Dundee fan is he not?

But he started out at Rangers, he made his breakthrough at St Mirren and his Dad played for United.

I would be really surprised if that was the extent of O'Neill's ambition. My guess is he will be aiming higher.

Possibly, I’ve no idea. He may enjoy international management though?

I do think regardless of what happens in the play offs he won’t be able to achieve much more with norn iron so it’ll be the right time for him to move on from there.

Fwiw I’m not convinced he’d be the right man for the job, I think managers that have done really well in one particular job can sometimes have just found themselves in the right place at the right time and with the right group of players they can almost manage themselves. (This was the reason I was concerned about Butcher coming to Hibs).

I’ve no idea who I do want to get it, Once Allardyce was ruled out I’ve not heard one name linked who I’d want to get it.

He is a bit of a rat shafted every club he has been at even suing clubs he has left but i think a cert for the scotland gig

Lambert has said a couple of times he sees his future as a manager away from Scotland so doesn't strike me as being committed in anyway to a role he's now "interested " in. He'd be gone at the first chance

Plus I think he's a prick.

So it's a no from me

I agree with you. (FWIW I thought I was on the huns new manager thread when I made my first post :trumpet::blushie:).

I hope it's not Lambert, just another manager that has suddenly reappeared in the scottish media sniffing around now there are jobs avaialble.
Hearing his interviews over the last week he seems to nothing about the current domestic game in Scotland or the players in it.
