I think we should consider opening the south up for all games for Hibs fans except the Derby and possibly the ugly sisters. Go for a build it and they will come. It means lots of good seats with groups able to sit together rather than maybe putting some off because there are no seats left they like. Not sure of the costs involved and that may make it a non starter but there is something about showing we are ready to grow and almost expecting fans to fill the seats. Given where we are in the league and the buzz it may be a good time to extend the kids programmes. Much easier to start supporting Hibs when there is 17K plus at games and we are playing well and winning than at other times.

Frankly I’d reduce the OF to the same percentage of the ground that we get at theirs.

Do we need their money? Doubt it.

Give the Huns 1/50th and the tims 1/60th.

Hearts give us a similar allocation so that’s not such a big deal to me, they’re quiet anyway ;)

Tbh I am not sure that their money means a great deal to us.

We don’t rely on that extra money. As long as we sell the rest of the ground out then it doesn’t matter.
Even if we don’t sell it all out I don’t think it’s that big a deal.

I would love nothing more than for Rangers and Celtic to have their allocation cut at Easter Road.

However there's no way Hibs will turn away guaranteed income.

If they get the full stand, they are both going to sell out their full allocation. If their numbers are cut, there will need to be a number of empty seats left for segregation. I'm not sure how many that would be but let's say it's around 500.

500 seats that could have been sold at £28 each is £14000. Then you have to question whether our fans would fill the rest of the stand or if there would be even more empty seats.

At the end of the day it will come down to financial reasons. I really doubt that Hibs will refuse several thousand pounds.

No we dont. If the Hibs ends are sold out long before the two games, which I imagine they will be; Then we should be allocating hibs fans in the south stand. Should also be done for safety reasons for the Huns game as that'll be a highly charged atmosphere I'd imagine

I'd say allocate as many tickets to Hibs fans as possible for the old firm games. To me this is a long term investment. We could potentially get more fans who go to the south buying season tickets, strips etc that would boost our ticket sales in the long run.

Let them have either the the top or bottom. If it's the top then not the seats above the advertising boards. Can't trust them spittting at hibs fans below (plus the police would ignore it). The Rangers fans should also be kept in the stadium 20 mins after full time. We get the same treatment.

Sell any less than that and it doesn't make financial sense to cut their allocation.

I agree we will need to play well to win but Dundee are due some credit, they made life difficult for us in the first half in particular and mix that with the referee performance it was always going to be tight.

As usual we will lose fans to the rugby, especially as its the All Blacks Scotland are playing. One of my mates who has a season ticket is going to Murrayfield, though he has passed his ST on to someone who cant usually get to Hibs games.

With these now regular Autumn internationals and the SRU allegedly selling some tickets for as little as £1 ( hence the sellout for last weeks game ) it means that potentially Hibs are competing with Scottish Rugby 6 times every season ... the only reason the last game didn't clash with us was because of the international break.

Because of the Yams proximity to Murrayfield they never have to play at the same time as the Rugby and that IMO is totally unfair on Hibs .... I cant understand why we don't reschedule games on Rugby weekends to either the Friday or the Sunday, most folk who buy Murrayfield tickets do it weeks in advance, so buying a ticket for ER in the week of the game shouldn't be a financial strain.

If our games clash with all 6 Rugby internationals and we lose 200 adult walk ups each time that's £26,400 these internationals are costing us ... even more if these adults were bringing kids with them and lost revenue at the food kiosks and the club shop.

It might be an idea for Hibs to look into exactly how much these international clashes are costing us .... we are the only senior club in Scotland who have this problem.

Tricky one. Even if the Hibs games were to be moved I think it's unlikely the majority of the lost walk-ups going to the rugby would also shell out for a football match in the same weekend, even if they have bought their rugby tickets weeks in advance.

Not really convinced there will be a much larger attendance cause of the South stand tickets been sold already. A lot of these fans will usually sit around the stadium and many won't have made their season ticket available.

Unless the club has done it automatically when a hibs kids ticket is bought then I'm happy to stand corrected

I thought hibs kids could bring a friend along for free hence they open the South so the group can sit together. Assuming there would be at least 3 people cause an adult Needs to be attendance so it would be a struggle for people to get seats together in the FF

Around 270 sold in 2 days. Not as fast selling as previous matches it would seem, but I'd say we were on course for around 16.5k. Amazingly, think that would be our lowest home attendance so far this season in the league.

A big win where people who missed the match are gutted, could solve that issue. Could someone please email Petrie and tell him we need at least 4-0 or better still 6-0 or 7-0. Cheers.

Not forgetting all the extra expense draining folks wallets & purses ..... A downturn this time of year probably affects most clubs, making it all the more baffling as to why the SPFL organised so many fixtures for December.

The rugger v New Zealand, best team in the world playing at Murrayfield defo impacts our attendance.

Although, we have come so far in a couple of years if we are thinking a 15k-16k attendance against St Johnstone is a bit on the low side.

This is something which really should be looked at.

Hearts (when they actually move back to Tynecastle) will never play a home match on the same day that Scotland are playing rugby at Murrayfield, due to how close both stadiums are to one another.

If there is a genuine impact on our home attendances when we are playing at the same time as a rugby match takes place at Murrayfield then that's clearly unfair and these matches should be rescheduled accordingly.

Well the 4-0 on the Sunday followed by the 7-0 in midweek sounds achievable but never take St. Johnstone for granted this weekend

Na, we don’t need that, just to keep winning and Celtic and Aberdeen need to drop points, then as we get closer to 2nd/top - THAT (I would hope) would get people wanting to be there.

Rescheduling to a Sunday or midweek would be even more detrimental as we’d probably get smaller attendences. We should request an away fixture though for anytime Scotland are at home at Murrayfield.

For a "Dot Count" thread, not a lot of counting has been done!

Anyhoo, I haven't counted today, but a quick look shows only 2 green sections (1 in the east 1 in the west) and most of the orange sections only have a few single seats dotted about, and 2 sections in the south seem quite full.

So all in all, it should be a decent crowd. I have no idea how many St J are planning to bring along but it would be nice to break the 17K barrier today

Tickets left as at 9 30am Saturday morning:

West 281
Famous Five 105
East 236
South 53 (only two sections available)

Total 675

I imagine Hibs will open 2 top tiers of the South Stand making say another 500 tickets available.

So the crowd, assuming St Johnstone bring around 500 looks likely to be around 17,000+ again.

Might be more gaps than usual in FF if Hibs kids plus parents are in South stand?

its incredible the amount of time some on here give to them and their exploits. Personally i couldnt care two hoots whether they play or not, just let them get on with it and stick to supporting our own team.

I’m in West Upper and I’m afraid there were a lot of empty seats in the East. Quite a few in FF lower. More than I’ve seen in recent games. On the plus side FF Upper looked almost full.

Sad but true and almost makes the dot counts irrelevant to a degree because they only confirm number of seats sold, not what will be actual bums on seats. Clearly ST holders who are not there every game are the cause. It’s the way it goes.

Choose not to go to the game on Saturday as I was going to go with my dad and brother and by the time I was looking at getting tickets it was front row by the corner flag or up at the back where my dad would likely cough out a lung if he attempted to get there.

Watching the game on Alba it was frustrating to see the free seats in the East that I'd have jumped at had they been made available. Assume it's ST holders not turning up and a few with folk standing at the back as mentioned.

The problems of success.

I know the fans can tell the club to release the seats as they can't go but perhaps a resell site run by the club and 50/50 on the sales or something like that would work better.
