SunSport can reveal the former Scotland call-up keeper has been left out of Saturday’s squad for the game against Hibs (https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/team/14943/hibernian/) at Easter Road.

Good news, he is a decent keeper and got them a point in the last game.

Good. Let's rest the new keeper early and keep him under pressure.

What a shock. Expect plenty more stories like this in the coming weeks until the Dundee board finally come to their senses.

McCann is an arrogant clown and the Dunded players hate him.

I might be wrong but has he not been out for a few weeks? Noticed he never played the last couple times I've watched sportscene?

He's started every game.

Good news if it's true. Bain was their best player by miles in the first game at Dens Park and stopped them getting a hammering.

He's started every game.Haha my bad, for some reason I didn't think he had. Should be good news for us then, he was exceptional earlier in season against us and saved them a point.

I often confuse him with Scott Fox at County, who was dropped for a bit after a clanger V Rangers I think.

Neil McCann is an obnoxious ******** who likes to play the victim in the media. His interview after the 1-1 against Dundee, especially when talking about the blatant handball by Scott Allan was absolutely embarrassing.

Didn't he have a few howlers in other games and as per usual pulled out a Gordon Banks performance against us?

Was probably due another one today so good news.

Hope the new guy doesn't have a Conrad-style debut. He hasn't played a top team game since a League Two loss to Plymouth last December.
Our forwards should keep him busy.

Every time I’ve seen him play he’s been outstanding, he’s young and has been in the Scotland squad a few times so I reckon he’d be a good addition. I think he’s a lot better than Laidlaw.

That decision could cost McCann his job, hopefully today.

I'm not surprised, I think he's bang average. He had maybe the game of his career so far against us last time out but most of the time when I watch Dundee, or their highlights, he's at fault quite often. He looked poor in their loss to Hamilton last week so it wouldn't surprise me if McCann went through him and he's taken the huff. Anyone know who their sub keeper is?

McCann's biggest mistake was ging back to Dundee in the summer. Should have returned to punditry with his head held high

Forgot he was there until you posted that.

Pity. I'm sure we'd have given him a warm reception.

Scott Allan has been undergoing surgery.

Another who has been missing lately, midfielder Scott Allan, is back in training and is “champing at the bit” according to Neil (McCann).

“Scott Allan has been great, the operation has been really successful and he’s been back training with the group.

“We’ll look to maybe get him a game next week.

“He’s champing at the bit.

“He’s been looking great in training, so we just need to make sure he’s right".

From the Evening Telegraph.

I'd absolutely love to see him in a relegated side. Love it.

Marciano is firmly established as our number one, so it sounds unlikely that Bain would want to sign for a club that would only use him as a reserve when he will have other suitors.

I wouldn't have said that before he took that break I got the feeling Lennon was losing patience with him but he has vastly improved when he returned and pulled off some brilliant saves and thats what it is all about we have to have another decent keeper to challenge Rocky to keep him on his toes

Bain will be going to the English champs before easter Rd. Great goalie on his game. Big jambo too but so were gray and whitty so never say never

We don't have the budget for two Marciano-class keepers, especially when only one can play. Laidlaw is a decent enough back up for our budget. I'd take Bain as the reserve if he'd come here for a reasonable wage but he's not as good as Marciano and will get offered more money to start elsewhere.

I'm not sure we'll see another keeper at Hibs any time soon unless Marciano leaves.

Laidlaw signed a 2 year deal in the summer and I think the plan is Dabrowski will be ready to push into the 1st team squad by then.
