Quite smart.

My belly bulge and fitted shirts just don't get along I'm afraid.

that's kind of like an amalgamation of the world Cup 86 and 82 strips...I like it. badge look printed not embroidered though.

Very smart. Hopefully they leave the away top as it is and Scotland will have 2 quality kits :fishin:

Why does the design hark back to something the Netherlands did (as explained in the blurb)? Am I missing something?

Also mrs Barcahibs pointed out that the pattern on the shirt forms a series of arrows pointing at the wearers crotch. Possibly says more about her than the design but now I've noticed that I can't un-notice it...

Its a meh from me.

Apart from the strange stripe on the '86 era shorts, it's very similar to this one.

Retro is better. That's a decent top. :agree:

Wish they had left all the black lines off it, otherwise it would have been a beautifully simple and stylish kit. So close but yet so far from perfection,
On Adidas, I saw a pic on Facebook earlier of the Hibs Adidas kit with P&D Windows on the front. That was a great Hibs kit, shorts a little tight tho, particularly on Gorden Rae 😂

The red socks are very Hunnish look, IMO. Don't see the point of them. Nice shirt, but would be even better with dark blue socks.

My first thought was that's the closest we've been to the 82 strip in a long time. Looking at it again, it's got the 86 collar though. Welcome return to that sort of ensemble.

Im touched.

I'll wear it in Russia with my Hibs England half and half scarf. That'll be me stood behind my flag of St George with HIBERNIAN FC emblazoned across it.

Can you just imagine the look on the faces of some of the knuckleheads# that follow England if I turned up dressed as above with my Hibernian England flag?

# I'd like to point out that not all England fans are knuckleheads..... honest.

Wouldn't that be risky? Anything that has a whiff of Irishness might be provocative. The England travelling support loves IRA songs and the like; hence the Huns love them/wear their shirt.

I think it would be a tad risky :greengrin. My travelling days with England are long over (last match was the 5-1 in Munich) and my world cup was 1998... one of the best nights we had out there was in a bar in Paris, our group numbering about 8 and a similar number of Scots lads from near Aberdeen and topically Dundee. Brilliant night :thumbsup:and very very funny.

edit to add my one and only attempt at the bagpipes..... wasnt good.

Looking at that photo, from just over thirty years ago, I reckon every single one of those players won at least one league title in their career (some of them numerous) and more than half of them won European silverware. In fact I think Gough and Aitken are the only two who never played in a European final.

By comparison, in our last competitive outing, the only players with league medals would have been the Celtc lot and Darren Fletcher - so maybe around half the team?

No European final appearances either - don't think Fletcher played for Man U in their finals appearances.

Just goes to show how much has changed in little more than a generation. Bosman and the global supply of footballers to the European leagues have had a massive impact and it's hard to imagine us ever again being in the position of fielding a starting XI where the majority of our side have won a European trophy.

That’s actually a beauty. I didn’t like the current one enough to buy which I was disappointed at because I like owning a Scotland top (especially living in the States). Will have to get this one

The new Adidas Scotland 2018 home jersey is appartently expected to be the last made by Adidas as the deal with the Scottish FA is up after the 2018 World Cup.

For the next contract I think we could do worse than Macron after the great job they did with our strips.

The other thing about the photo is I instantly recognise and name the players. Until the final 2 group games I’d be in the pub with my mates trying to figure out who some of the players were and arguing about which lower English league team they played for ! Changed days indeed.
