Not that many direct trains. 11.13 gets in 11.53 the one after that leaving Waverley 11.53 doesnt get in until 1.09.

coming back one at 5.16 is direct, next direct one is 7.16.

Recommend the Railway Tavern if going for a pint in town centre, friendly pub and will avoid the Huns who may be out in force in some of the other pubs in area for their game KO 12.30.

Just a reminder that Airbles is the closest station to the ground...

Yes, a bit closer but only half hourly service from Motherwell, not worth hanging about for a connection, you are as well walking it.

From memory (not been to Fir Park for a few years) you take a right out of the station, through a shopping centre/arcade, just keep walking in that direction and it's not long before you can see the ground. Apologies if the local architecture has changed in recent years!

Get off the train - jump in a taxi.

It hasn't, still as stunningly beautiful as ever.

11.13 train. A good 2 hours minimum in the pub through there before the game. Perfect way to spend a Saturday!

There's a 'Cross Country' service that leaves Waverley at 13;12, stops at Haymarket then no more stops till Motherwell.

It only takes 40 minutes. Probably be standing room only, though.

There's a direct train then leaving Motherwell at 17:16, also 40 minutes, but you'll need to be a bit sharpish out of the ground to catch that one (it's about a 20-25 minute walk)

Where's everyone heading beforehand? I'm hoping to catch Man United V Spurs, but imagine most places will have the sash bash from Murrayfield on.

We're planning on the Horsehoe Bar, but never been to any pubs through there so that's just decided from a quick Google search.
