Great response from Hibs tonight after the w/e disappointment. Up for this match from the off and never gave the Yams a sniff. Outplayed them all over the park, and Lennon's approach to the game is light years ahead of Levein's industrial revolution.

Amazing turnaround in the derby-record since the level playing-field became the norm - wonder what's caused that .......................... ??

One thing's not changed though, once again another derby passes where the protection our players get from the referee is virtually non-existent - Cochrane's lunge at McGinn was more 'Assault' than 'Tackle' !

To be fair I thought in general the ref did a really good job of protecting our players, especially the constant niggles on Dylan. Maybe could've booked a few more for continuous fouls but generally a good performance I thought.

Dylan was head and shoulders above everyone else on the park. Both wingers had the beating of their men every time.

I must watch a different game from everyone else at times because I don't think SJM stood out as much as he should be in these games. Sprayed a few good passes first half then played much better 2nd again but I expect to see more from a player with ambitions of playing much higher.

Hearts brought what we all knew they would. Physicality and long balls.

Great win and always excellent hearing our anthem at FT especially with the South stand rapidly emptying.

Hearts are becoming what we were for many years and it is very pleasing

Great level of performance after 2 tough games. Well worth the win. McGeoch’s best performance in a Hibs jersey ably abetted by those around him. Credit to Lennon for motivating the players to that performance. Glory glory!

SJM is being targeted by opponents as our main man, which is a good test for him I guess because it makes it harder to impose himself on the game.

But if he is occupying opposing midfielders and creating space for others then it is all good. Our midfield 3 work well together.

He was on his own down in the corner of the South Stand, after all the other inbreds had left, gesticulating and shouting abuse at the Hibs fans in the East. Nobody noticed him until Sunshine on Leith was finished, then he got an absolute roasting.
