Is anyone else concerned that our manager is more interested in appearing on television for Irish TV than working on how to beat Celtic and Hearts?

When I’m not in the office, say at the weekend. I do things that aren’t work related.

Go back in on Monday and continue where I left off on Friday.

I’d imagine it’s the same with Lennon.

Id be a lot more worried if he felt the need to be working on his team 24/7.

AVB used to sleep overnight at the Chelsea training centre. Didn't do him much good.

Is this serious ??? If it is, I'm guessing you're not a fan ...? You don't think watching champions league Football is a useful thing for him to do ?

Definitely. It's more than concerning. It's shocking.

Good thread. Important thread.

He could fly over after training and return the same night. It’s only an hour away.

Dont be daft, Calderwood was never away from England, he was always out the country with one thing or another.

Lennon is getting just as bad, Fenlon was never away from the place, he'd be ok if wee Gordon disnae fancy it.

This again?

It's a 45 minute flight that he probably caught after training today and will be back on the last one tonight and taking training tomorrow.

What exactly is the problem? Would he be allowed to watch it at home?

I live next door to a fairly high profile ex pro who does punditry. If he's out the country or at a game late he still makes it home in time to do the school run the next morning.

Absolutely not a problem for me. It would be totally different if he was appearing on Celebrity Bake Off or something similar. Or sitting in the house getting pished before going to East Mains tomorrow. He's a football man and a winner. He know's what he's doing and will have the team well prepared for every game we play, no matter who it is against. Whether we get the right result in that game is another matter. But to question Lennon's commitment is ludicrous, in my opinion.

I watched it. Lenny sat there talking Ireland, a wee chuckle here, talking Irish stuff, a wee chuckle there.

But you could tell he was distracted.. Thinking Hibs, Always thinking Hibs... :agree:

People saying it's a 45 minute flight are conveniently forgeting to add in the travel time to and from the airports, getting through the farcical security set up at Turnhouse and the hanging around departures for an hour. I'd say at lease 2.5 to 3 hour journey each way. Just saying  Of course what the man does on his day off is entirely up to him.
