English football is goosed. Can't stand it. How long until the premier becomes a franchise? Utter *****, not even British.

They'll be after an Ancelotti or some such name.

NL will be quoted but well down the list. Mind you who could blame him for getting his head turned by a Premier League salary?

I don't know why any club bothers to sign any manager up for any more than 12 months.

It's ridiculous. In Leicester's case they're still living off past glories. They are pretty much where they should be just now. The title winning season was a one off that they will never repeat no matter who they get in charge.

Cos Palace got a result at the weekend no doubt.

He was there when Pearson was manager and also Ranieri, he worked in the backroom during these managers ups and downs, the Premier league is huge business nowadays and Leicester need to do what's best for the club, they've not been good this season at all, pretty poor.

If it's anyone from Scotland it'd be Brendan Rodgers.

Allardyce has already said he doesn't fancy club management but might be tempted.

Ancelotti would be some coup. Technically a better side so De Boer would probably fair better there but unlikely anyone in England will touch him for a while

That was an absolute honking game of football last night with very little on show

I honestly couldn't watch that type of sterility week in week out

Made a rod for his own back.
Pretty obvious he was never going to be allowed to keep that job, they reeled him in and then just cast him aside.

Doubt he'd want to leave for there.

That's a tidy 6 figure sum deposited in Shakespeare's bank account.
Sigh, imagine being sacked and only getting a million+ pounds compensation.
It's a hard life being a football manager in the EPL.

The Premier league will never become a franchise because relegation and promotion are a huge draw.

Aye - they clinched the Premiership 19 days before that day in May 2016

Aww come on...course it's goosed...it should be like Scottish football and make sure you have a quarter of the managers in the top league sacked at this stage of the season and doubly make sure that one goes before the league even starts! That's how proper non franchise leagues do it you know!

It's bonkers, but it's the panic of a relegation dogfight which creates these situations. The Premier League is so lucrative that relegation is unthinkable for clubs, so they are hitting the ejector seat quicker all the time. The de Boer sacking was an all time low.

Stupid appointment after the stupidity of sacking their hero title winning manager. Relegated within the next 2-3 seasons.
