Wonder if there’s a connection with ongoing Hector investigation into historical transfer “irregularities” at club ?

WWE chief Vince McMahon linked with sensational takeover of Newcastle :hide: :greengrin

Twitter went into overdrive again as rumour about billionaire's interest in Premier League club resurfaced.

Huge potential but a basket case of a club for as long as anyone can remember. It can be put right, if someone with very deep pockets comes along e.g. Man City, but it's going to cost a fortune.

Aye, mostly due to Fat Ashley.

They've one of the most loyal, and passionate fanbases in the country, and already have excellent infrastructure.

I'd imagine they'll be an attractive proposition for any investor.

They were in financial difficulty when Ashley bought them.

Obviously he's not been a great owner, but I think the club is debt free and it has a good manager and very loyal fanbase.

There are certainly worse investments out there.

There are indeed worse clubs to invest in. Big support, excellent stadium, good manager and real potential. Making the squad competitive, however, is going to cost a fortune, and Newcastle now need an owner who has the money and who can run the club properly.

I wonder if Mike will meet potential buyers in the boozer and challenge them to a drinking game before spewing in the fire place and falling asleep

Surely he'd prefer spurs for kane? Either way, interesting if he ever takes over the reigns.
