Company has gone bust, leaving 110k people stranded. Other airlines have put up prices for alternative flights. Apparently Monarch we’re still taking bookings over the weekend.

Apart from the fact that no one is stranded and the CAA has confirmed anyone abroad will be returned at no extra cost..

Monarch has been on the ropes for a while and while I feel sorry for people who will lose their bookings a quick bit of research would have shown them this company was struggling big time...

I guess Ryanair will have just found the extra pilots they needed.

I guess Ryanair will have just found the extra pilots they needed.

It's an employee's market at the moment regarding pilots. I'm a union rep for pilots and cabin crew and getting our company to agree on T&C improvements has never been easier. Ryanair are way down the list of employers that these guys can choose.
