Hibs.net Buses To The League Cup Semi Final (Buses Full)

Once again we will be running buses to the League Cup Semi Final and we have booked 2 x 53 seaters. Please read the below carefully as daft questions will be ignored.....

Where and when are you picking up?

The game is on Saturday 21st October with a 12.15 kick off. Pick up points and times are below:

Easter Road Clubstore - 9.30am
Waterloo Place - 9.35am
PC World/Fabios - 9.45am
Deer Park - 10.15am

How Do I Book?

Post on this thread. I need the number in your party and your pick up point. If your party is split between 2 stops then no problem, just make it clear.

How Much Does It Cost and How Do I Pay?

Adults will cost £12 and under 16s will cost £5. Preferred payment method is by paypal to [email protected]. If this is unsuitable to you then PM me and we can arrange either bank transfer or cash. Payment is required no later than Tuesday 17th October.

Can I Drink On The Coach?

STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED ON THE COACH. Let's be clear here, I am not a killjoy. I like a drink, I like a drink before the football and truth be told I wouldn't mind a drink on a bus to the football. However the law is the law and it is not permitted. As the registered bus convener it is my neck on the line if anyone tries to be smart with drink, likewise a driver isn't going to be happy if he loses his livelihood because you can't go a couple of hours without a bevvy. The bus company have been clear, any drink on the bus and it will turn around. If you want to be responsible for 50 odd other people missing a semi final then carry on. If you drink on the bus you will not be allowed to travel with us again. That includes the return journey!

Is There A waiting List?

If the coach fills then yes there will be. If you are on the waiting list please don't bombard me with PMs asking if you have a seat yet. It's in my interest to fill the coach so if I have a spare seat then you'll be made aware of it.

This time???? By that wording you are implying that (Should I ever ) attempt to book again this will be a regular occurrence and I will have to be "Discussed" again by certain members (Of which I am not privy to )
This is the first time since my membership commenced circa 2006 that a "Closed Shop" will be examining both myself, and my friends behaviour and calling our characters into question.
We are all mature people with high levels of professionalism (Which includes a teacher,a lawyer and a quantity surveyor being a small example of these "So-called" people which you feel you are capable and worthy to judge )
I have no issues whatsoever and am more than capable of arranging transport elsewhere but I feel that if my integrity is being talked about-those that are chatting should be mature enough and be open and honest about their real issues (As this smacks of a personal attack )
I recognise that there was one visitor on the bus (Several years ago I hasten to add) which did not conduct himself to the standard of both myself and my friends and as you will have to concede I took steps of my own volition to ensure that he no longer attended .
There clearly is a personal issue going on as this smacks of a "Kangaroo Court" being held by power hungry people that have taken umbridge to the fact that there is a group which still likes to up-hold (The decades held ) football tradition of friendship,camaraderie singing and banter- if you feel that this "High spirits and laughter" is not wanted or applicable to your bus and you wish to go ahead with a dour,humourless and personality less bus load of beige,boring people that is most certainly your prerogative-just rest assured I will not be joining you ! Anywhere that decrees singing and a sense of humour as something to be decried and eliminated is certainly nowhere I will choose to be.
It will be interesting to see if your are adult enough to respond and quantify your decision with a relevant explanation with actual issues and incidents which you deem in-worthy to attend.
I look forward to your reply and hopefully it will take you less time that the 2 days it took you to respond with the most eloquent statement above (I appreciate that such a long winded reply must've taken days to think of !!!! )

You aren't being refused seats because you like a laugh and a song. You are being refused seats because you have consistently broken the law by drinking on the buses despite repeated warnings not to. That includes the last time you travelled with us despite repeated promises to the contrary.

The decision is final and there will be no further discussion about it on this thread.

Those of you who are booking for larger groups, could you make sure that the people coming with you know that there's no alcohol allowed. It's been the law since the early 80's so it's nothing new.
