... I look forward to hear how you are treated by these angels when they come to tend you in your sickbed.
I'm sure they won't begrudge you an extra five or ten minutes of their time to bring you a bed pan or change your dressings after an op.
Never mind, you can always go Private and pay for it with the millions you rip off the sick and their carers alike.
How do you sleep at night? "Nae problem" I hear you say.
If I was a doc or nurse I'd blunt all your injection needles and put barbs on them.

Think this may have precluded you from the caring professions in the first place...
Preying on the needy and their relatives, and then again on those who work tirelessly to help, heal and comfort them all.

Hell to the judge too.
She's set a dangerous precedent.

The nurses may one day enjoy taking Ms Judge's blood pressure.
Maybe then she'll experience just what it's like to be squeezed by people with power.
Note: Can I suggest around the neck is a good location to take blood pressure.

Devil's Advocate question here.
Isn't it the case that the 3 hospitals involved (ERI, Glasgow RI and Ninewells) were all built under PFI contracts? Thus the inclusion of a "private" car park was part of the deal, which presumably mitigated the cost of the hospital itself.
So, should one's (justifiable IMO) anger should be directed at those who signed up for that arrangement in the first place?

Quite. Enforcing unfair rules that are nonetheless rules isn't the axe to grind here. It's those who signed up to those rules in the first place that should be in the proverbial dock IMO

Could this verdict open the floodgates for other parking companies

Equally if we're playing Devil's advocate then you could argue that there are better things for public money to be spent on than parking.

I think the argument is that the revenue from the parking (well part of it at least) offsets some of the initial and ongoing costs of providing the hospital buildings for the use of the NHS. Ergo removing the charges would increase the direct cost to the tax payer of such services.

:agree: Greedy b*****ds will always be greedy b*****ds. Those who give them the opportunity to put their sticky fingers in the honeypot should be held accountable.
I have no idea who which party was responsible for the PFI contracts so I'm not trying to use this as a political dig.

Just playing devil's advocate. Given the choice of 100 nurses with no free parking or , say, 90 nurses who can park at work for free, I'm sure many people would make an argument for either side.

Some light reading for you.
We'll be paying off PFI contracts for some time to come.

Thanks for that, Ron7.
PFI was, is and always will be a short-sighted nightmare. Sold down the river. Money going to money.
Paint it any way you want, PFI is a disgusting rip off.
