Some of the wording is rather sensational and makes me suspect that the author's knowledge of football is rather limited. A bit of fact checking by a sub-editor may have helped.

He describes Leicester winning promotion to the Premier League 'for the first time in their history' in 1996! They were in the Premier League in 1993-4.

In any event, 1996 was precisely four years after the formation of the Premier League in England. Leicester had spent 24 years in the old Division One postwar out of 43 years. They were hardly strangers to the top flight.

He describes Strachan's Celtic winning the 2005-6 SPL title with 'Lennon forming an immovable blockade with Roy Keane in the middle of the park'. Keane played 10 matches for Celtic in his only season and from what I can remember was a total disaster.

Most of it correct apart from giving them credit for ending 9inarow.

Good read apart from one of the last lines ..... "The Lurgan man faces a difficult job in Edinburgh, with his side locked in mid-table after a difficult start to the campaign."

What a load of tosh!

Clear that the author doesn't watch that much football but this isn't far from the truth. Lennon wants us to be a top 2 side and so far in the league our results have been average (even if the performances have been quite promising, bar Hamilton)

Reads like a Celtc fanzine.

Still, Lennys a good man. I never knew he was briefly at Motherwell as a player.
