Blatant and indiscriminate ear cupping followed by a highly provocative punch to the air.

I was quite shocked.

I'm waiting for the club 1872 statement first. No point jumping to conclusions.

And a questionable red card. Surely a statement being drafted up as we speak

The 15 year old 1872 club spokesman is currently out on his skateboard. The statement will follow tomorrow.

I think City must remain calm and try to be reasonable after this clear intimidation, and the worst red card in living history.

Cupping you say? Don't Rooneys ears always look like that?

Rooney has now scored his 200th,150th and 50th Premier League goals against Man.City.Their fans are demanding an enquiry as to why this has been allowed and also why he didn't score his 100th goal against them.

Thank God that the Man City fans were able to restrain themselves, its only a matter of time before someone dies because of ears and cupping.

:agree:

The City fans didn't even subject him to ceaseless sectarian/xenophobic abuse. Rooney is a disgrace.

He was lucky not to be booked for that one, considering he was booked for being ugly in the second half. :cb

Thought he was quite a bit older and they are waiting for him to sober up to issue a statement, which might not happen.

Thought he was quite a bit older and they are waiting for him to sober up to issue a statement, which might not happen. He'd be out typing furiously already but he put his trousers on the wrong way round and can't work out how to fix this problem.

His mother needs to put his typing mittens on as well as his fingertips are down to the bone from all that indignant rage filled typing.

Mr Club 18-72 is quite obviously an 18 year old and out on a date with his girlfriend.

I've leave it to others to work out what age she is.

I've not really been following this topic as avidly as I should so, could somebody please clarify some stuff for me...

Is Cupping anything like Spooning?

Is it in any way connected to Granny Grabbing holiday firms (Club 18-72)?

If the answer to the last question is no, then why would Rooney be involved?

:dunno:

Can you imagine how embarrassing if could have been for Police Scotland if they had charged Lennon, then Rooney repeated the action and doesn't receive anywhere near the same level of criticism as Lennon.

Thankfully our police took the common sense view.

Would love to hear a Club 1872 statement about Manchester City. Especially the City Centre.

Rooney has just retired from international football - probably couldn't commit to playing for England any more with his upcoming court case and inevitable incarceration.

They showed remarkable restraint in the city centre when you consider that a screen broke down, in any other support a broken screen would have caused riots but the rangers fans were a credit to Northern Ireland that night and behaved just as they would if they were on their own doorsteps.

I'm sure they would quite happily condemn the Chelsea Fans that gave them a bad name that particular day.
