All these years I've thought I've lived in Scotland and lo and behold, I don't I actually live in an "Unknown Region".
Will I need a new passport? Do I change my address? Do I change my nationality to an Unknownian?
Phew! No worries. It's all been sorted ......

That's very interesting. I've had my dealings with the Reverend and I'm aware some people pour scorn on his work, however, regardless of his faults his does some cracking investigative journalism.

Certainly better than the mainstream "journalists". Not one of them has picked up on this. I wonder why.....

Mainstream media sources such as The National you mean? And even more worrying, why aren't the SNP politicians making a huge fuss about this freely available information.
Possibly because this has no impact on the way the GERS figure are arrived at.

I would hardly call the national "mainstream". Very low reader base compared to other newspapers. However, their bias is in their name. Anybody who buys the national knows exactly what to expect. Those who don't want to read it, don't have to buy it. The issue is with MSM that we're all supposed to "legally" fork out for (*cough*BBC). Despite the fact that it has a clear and blatant agenda, when it's supposed to be impartial to it's paying viewers.

Personally I think they should be making a huge fuss about it. However, I have my reservations with the SNP and independence and where they really stand on the issue. They seem to be riding the wave of power at the moment and don't want to rock the boat. I'm actually quite disappointed with them as things stand.

If this has no impact on the way that the GERS figures are arrived at, then I would think that would raise serious questions on just how the figures are actually arrived at.
