Just signed for the Dons. Good signing for them. Maybe they will let Rooney go?

Definitely a good signing for them if he stays fit. They've recruited well this summer.

They'll have to now by the looks of it, do they not have about 5/6 strikers on the books, and are currently playing with one up top

Damn, thought he was going to be Graham's replacement for a second!

Very good signing for them unfortunately.

Rooney would be perfect for us. We play two up front so more chance of game time here. And gives us great options up front.

Agreed, plus big Davy. I'd consider Rooney come January if we felt we were needing reinforcement.

We should sign Rooney, just to give the people who used to criticise Cummings for doing nothing but score goals a new target.

We'll need reinforcements anyway. With Graham away we need another striker.

Surely we couldn't afford Rooney now. Before Stokes maybe but don't think we'll be looking at paying a transfer fee/high wages for a Brian Graham replacement.

If he's fit, hardly kicked a ball in 2 years due to a bad injury

Apart from their revolving door of managerial appointments post Smith(y must go) - Porterfield, Skohdhal, Aitken, Miller, Hegarty, Tangoman, Pele...

At times they make us look less of a Hibstorical basketcase.

I'd be shocked if we brought rooney in, as he'd probably demand a fee and a hefty wage

If he's surplus and wanting game time though he might listen. Would give us options and a bench regardless of the starting line up I probably haven't seen in a hibs side in my time watching them

I'd definitely take Rooney but not sure he'd get a game for us right now. Why would he come to Hibs to sit on the bench?

May, if fit, will do very well for them.

If Shaw goes out on loan We then only have three strikers If one gets injured for a y length of time would be good to have back up

If he recovers fully from injury and rediscovers his St Johnstone form then that is a fantastic signing for the sheep. For me right now, this signing could go either way.

Rooney must surely now be surplus to requirements there

I agree. Said before that Aberdeen fans complain that all he does is "score goals" 🙄. As a point of interest, didn't he choose to go to Aberdeen rather than us when The Butcher had just taken over? I wonder if Budgie will sanction Potter to make a move for Rooney?

I'm not convinced that we need another striker more than a left winger, so I'd spend our remaining budget elsewhere unless Rooney is available on a free transfer.

That won't happen because Aberdeen won't want to strengthen a rival for second place.

I am too. Still think Boyle and Murray as subs in the last half hour of a game could run riot, especially against a defence that's starting to tire.

Prior to his spell in England where he was injured a lot of the time his scoring record was impressive, still only 24 as well. A very good signing for them no doubt about it. They are assembling some squad up there, we will have to go some to challenge them.

Well done the Dons signing May. Could be a very good signing for them. Is good to see teams signing players who they think can help put in a challenge against us.

Could be good, though not done much these last 2 years.

Part of me pleased that Dons and other teams appear stronger... along with ourselves. It feels like a better & stronger league with the traditional big hitters building good squads.

Just nudge and winks in the press and Willie miller hinting he's not happy at the dons. For all dons recruitment they still look very light up front minus hayes and mcginn. If may gets back to his best then he's a cracking signing but it must be a very big if. They will need to rely on their defence in getting second.

Adam Rooney would be a great signing however I think Stokes and Murray look a great combination. If Rooney was to be signed , he'd be in competition with Stokes for a place in my opinion and I think Stokes is the better player.

Aberdeen are building a really strong squad and the foundation for it has been Rooneys goals over the past couple of years. They'd be mad to let him go.

If Oli Shaw goes out on loan we have a squad of 20, that includes F Murray, Porteous & Scott Martin all of whom will not cost a lot. We have 4 strikers Inc Boyle. I would think their would be funds available to brink in a striker if Lenny thought we needed one. I would like us to go for Tony Andreau goal scoring mid, 1 in 2 wi Hamilton and almost the same with Dun Utd last yr.
