What players/ managers of other clubs do you have a particular like for or have quite a lot of respect for.

Michael Stewart for me was always a player I couldn't stand in his playing days but actually really respect him as a pundit, think he gives quite an intelligent insight unlike a lot of the others.

Also, Kenny Millar. Class act him coming into our dressing room after the final and shaking everyones hand.

I used to like that Cathro guy over at the wongadome. His Tonto off the Lone Ranger impersonations were so life like.

Whatever happened to him?

Would love it but I don't see that happening at all.

Just because we have Robertson who is also good at LB, I think we should try moving one of them on further up the park as their both attacking threats.

Always thought Jamie Macdonald was a decent keeper and one we should have signed off the yams when they went bust.

He was alright when I met him and the whole Hearts/Hibs thing is mainly banter with him.

Always liked Lennon and Gattuso as players, I seem to have a soft spot for the players others tend to hate. Manager wise I loved watching Mourinho's Inter team and Keegans Newcastle team (1st time around!).

Nice guy as maybe but certainly cost Pat Stanton more than a few caps as Martin Buchan was heavily promoted by the MSM who just loved him.To a degree it also probably had a knock on impact on the number of caps that John Blackley actually got.

I've always believed that Buchan would have got far more caps had he been a nationality other than Scottish. Just a brilliant player...

A few taking the easy option here and naming players who have never been rivals for Hibs...

I always liked Liam Craig and remain baffled how he couldn't find his best form in a Hibs shirt.

Two players I wish we had signed: Jackson Irvine and Steven Naismith.

Tin hat dept: Jamie Walker, Julian Brellier

I'll start with players for that lot
- Robertson (just did what he had to do and didn't get ar&^y with it iirc). John Colqhoun - always seemed tricky and had a brain. Don't think that this is some Hertz love in - hated Henry Smith, Neil Berry and Medals.

Paul Gascoigne - so many reasons not to like him but such an utterly exciting football player.

Laudrup and Larsson - didn't seem to stoop to being fandangos.

Nicest I've met? Steve Fulton. I've said the story before on here but the guy was brilliant at the time and an absolute gent.

Crazy Horse, now you are talking.

As a boy I'd have said I knew more about him from his endorsements. Stylo Matchmaker boots was one. Think John Collier or similar gents tailors was another. Seemed a sound guy until he feined injury a la Lafferty rolling on the deck in an international at Wembley. He was England captain at the time. Steve Heighway from that team but there was far less exposure to interviews and always Bill Shankley. Loved listening to him.

From the Jumbos Donald Ford/Derek O'Conner - meeting someone changes your mind quite often....

I always hoped we'd get him as our manager. Seemed a very decent bloke and played attacking football. Pretty sure he was mentioned around the time McLeish was, maybe someone can clear that up.
