I know the season isn't started yet, but it will be interesting to see what fans think.

My predictions for the bottom two are 1) Hamilton Accies, and 2) if they persist with Cathro, it could well be Hearts. If they sack him, then I'll go for Kilmarnock instead.

I don't think hearts season will be defined by Cathro going, It's absolutely inevitable he will go as he's clearly not cut out for management, it's all about who they replace him with, if they get that wrong it could get very interesting as they won't sack two managers in a season.

Reckon that's why they brought Locke back?
Cheap option, get him there now so they won't have
to pay compensation to get their next manager, when the
inevitable happens.

No danger will hearts persist with Cathro is he continues the relegation form. He'll be gone regardless of pay off.

I can see them bringing in Hartley and while he didn't set the heather alight at Dundee, he'll definitely install a bit more passion in to them. Especially when they play us.

Correct.

Sure I read that Hartley and Levein don't get on though.

I could see Aaron Hughes stepping up to take over.

I'd be surprised if anyone gets on with Levein given he's a grade A, top prize, first class prick.

Agreed. And that's my worry. They bring in someone that'll give them passion and fight. Something they've no had since locke the cock left. Could see either Hartley or Houston fitting like a glove there.

As for relegation - Hamilton and Killie or Dundee I reckon

Budge will be fuming if she has to sack the particularly articulate one.

She might send Levein back to the dug out as punishment.

Hamilton and Killie with St Johnstone my outside bet to be in trouble.

What makes you say St Johnstone?

They've been pretty consistent for a number of years now and have been top four in each of the last three seasons.

With Tommy Wright in charge, I would be surprised if they're in relegation trouble.

Hamilton relegated, Partick play off. Celtic Rangers Aberdeen Hibs Hearts Motherwell top 6 in that order.

I truly don't think Hearts will be top six this year. I think Cathro's done the damage already and it'd take a very good manager to turn it around. Therefore Hearts should just stick with Cathro for sure.

For the top six I predict:

Celtic
Aberdeen
St Johnstone
Rangers
Hibs
Ross County

AdidasHibernian

1- Celtic
2- Aberdeen
3- Rangers
4- Hibs
5- St Johnstone
6- Hearts

7- Partick Thistle
8- Ross County
9- Motherwell
10- Kilmarnock
11- Dundee
12- Hamilton

Only real changes may possibly be Partick maybe getting Top 6 in exchange for Hearts or St Johnstone.

Do think the bottom 6 is pretty straight forward, maybe not the actual league positions but I would say it may not be far off the above league table.

Do think Hamilton and Dundee/Kilmarnock will make up the bottom 2 positions like most however.

Two clubs that have been pushing their luck for too long.

Kilmarnock - they were howling against Ayr and made hard work of it against Clyde too.

Hamilton, struggled against Albion rovers with a strong team out. Shipped 4 goals too then lost on pens. They should be booted out for their howling crowds alone.

Maybe Cathro could do with installing an update on his laptop to get things going again. I'm sure Hartley would instil a bit passion back into the team though, if appointed.

They'll go for Locke though, as he's the cheap option being 'club ambassador' or whatever ridiculous job it is they've given him.

I reckon Hamilton will go down and Killie may be 11th.
I'd say Hearts will be bottom 6 easily with the legend Cathro in charge but eventually it's going to twig he is useless. Whoever they bring in will get some passion back but not enough to go top 6.
Think we will probably sit 4th or 5th but who knows - Sevco may be utter tripe.
St Johnstone shouldn't be underestimated as they're like a well oiled machine under Wright and Aberdeen are streets ahead of everyone bar Celtic

Cant make my mind up between Killie and Motherwell for 11th though. Reckon Dundee will be safe, they've made a couple of decent signings for them this summer - notably Scott Allan

Accies and Well in bottom two in my opinion, with Killie and the County just above them.

I don't think Hearts will finish in the bottom 2 but I have no doubt that they will at some point in the season be in the bottom 2.

They might be in the bottom 2 from the word go, they're going to have a horrendous start to the campaign.

I actually think they've got some very decent players and if they managed to get a non-f***wit in as manager then they could do fine.

If/when cathro is punted would they not just promote gary locke from the Dev team? It would be cheaper to recruit a new youth manager as apposed to sack cathy and pay another manager a decent wedge
