He didn't get the match ball though because their bawbag goalie booted it into the west stand and a kid made of with it.

Might it just also also be a year to the day since he scored a hat trick in the same competition for United, also in a 6-1 victory?

When the MOTM was announced, I was saying to my old man that it should be announced at full time, not 10 minutes before the end, especially with a striker already on a brace and looking for a hat trick.

When the MOTM was announced, I was saying to my old man that it should be announced at full time, not 10 minutes before the end, especially with a striker already on a brace and looking for a hat trick.

I agree.

I think the early announcement is to satisfy the sponsor's who choose the MOM.

It's stupid.

Scottish Cup at Tannadice - Hibs 3-2 Dundee Utd.

Grant Brebner scored all three Hibs goals - IIRC one with his head, one with the right foot and one with his left?

25/01/2003 - it was my 53rd birthday. One of my best birthday pressies ever. :aok:

He got the ball ..... had it under his arm as he went up the tunnel

However could be any ball due to the recycling process

I'd agree, but it was announced before Porteous had scored his second so he would probably have still got it.
