I see they have launched their third kit for this season which is also green, to go with their green and white home kit and their dark green away kit.

I sincerely hope we tell them to GTF when the refs decide there is a clash when they visit Easter road and try and make us wear our away kit at home to accommodate those ******wits

I thing wearing our away top at home a certain number of times each season is part of the sponsorship deal. Although I agree with you, we should tell Celtic to get stuffed and wear our away top against other teams to meet the agreement.

I don't know what any of their strips look like this season but I'd imagine if they have 3 green ones, at least one of them must be different enough to our home one to not cause any issue.

Arrogant bar stewards, forcing us to wear our away kit at home.

It's a lovely away kit we've got, but it's the principle behind it - they have absolutely no consideration or respect for this league.

I think their fans are a bit better than Sevco's, but this just reaffirms the fact that from a corporate point of view, they are just as Hunnish as the Huns!

A bit over the OTT? Probably, but imagine their reaction if we produced only green kits!

I was sceptical when I started reading the posts but just having a look the shade of green in all of those could definitely cause confusion during a game if we were in our home top. Hope they still have last year's pink number to hand for trips to Easter road. Poor show, can't believe they've been allowed to have three strips so similar.

If they're drawn against a team who play in green in Europe I wonder what would happen as they don't have the same sway there.

There was never any clash is the 70's :-)
I think its driven by commercialism rather than a clash of strips. Hibs home, vs celtic home works for me

Tbh, would there even be much of a clash if both teams wore their home kits? Back in the old days before I was born, I've seen pictures of both teams wearing their home kits.

It's a bit of a screw up by Celtic TBH.
There are two sides they have to change kits against. One is Hamilton due to the hoops and the other is us due to colour clash when they play away. Now both Hibs & them will probably have to wear their away kits.

Stupid weegies.

There are the Celtc away and third kits. If we fold and wear our away kit at home against those cants i'll not be pleased. They can wear an old shirt or wear training tops. The arrogance of them is unbelievable.

Both teams could comfortably wear there home kits, Celtic play in all white basically anyway I wouldn't even class them as a team in green. Worst case scenario we wear geeen shorts.

Why do people care what strip we wear?

We've the away strip at home hundreds of times over the years, why is it such a big deal now?

Hundreds of times? Couple times a season, if that.

It's the arrogance of Celtic that's winding folk up and rightly so.

A new European 4th shirt for the morons to hoover up.

Don't see how any of the two Celtic change strips clash with Hamilton.

Us on the other hand, little room to move.

Are you really nitpicking at my word choice?

Lots, loads, many, numerous... choose any of them, the point is the same.

I'd tell them to wear a training top for the games at Easter Road. They would not even have given the games against us a second thought when they designed the strips so we should do likewise and wear our home kit as normal when we play them at ER.

Over the last couple of seasons it's become the norm for us to wear our home kit at home and our away kit away regardless whereas we used to wear the home kit always unless there was a clash forcing us into wearing the away kit.

I like it that way as it means the fans that have spent money on the away kit know they will get to see the team playing in it at away matches.

The problem here is the arrogance of Celtic in releasing 3 strips that will all likely be considered as a clash with us by the referees. The seasons we had white away kits we ended up using the previous seasons yellow kits when we went to Celtic park. I would expect Celtic to be told to find an alternative kit to wear at Easter road but knowing Scottish football I reckon they will tell us to change our kit to avoid the clash.

It's the principle of being told we can't wear green and white while playing at Easter road because Celtic says so basically

I used to play for a team that had green and black strips with a guy who had horrendous red/green colour blindness.

Celtic v Hamilton would be an absolute nightmare for him.

This is obviously the key bit and the bit I can't get my head around. I'm struggling to think of a situation where I'd give a **** about it so on that note, I'll leave you all to it.

They should definitely be told to wear last season's pink top or a training top. It'll be an issue entirely created by them and so should be solved by them. We should wear green.

When Celtic have had a green away kit, they've worn the previous season's kit when they came to ER. It'll be no different this time.

Not sure when rules came into play forcing different colour shorts and socks? 90s? As you say rampant commercialism at work.

It's up to visiting team to ensure they wear a strip that doesn't clash with the home team. So I can't see anyone telling us to change our strip when Celtc come calling to lose their invincible tag!

Tops v skins its not difficult ............. Sellik play topless. If they are too stupid to come up with an away strip that doesn't clash with the only other team in Scotland they actually do clash with, when does that become our problem?

Totally agree, a storm in a teacup. Makes you wonder how we managed wearing traditional colours v them for a century or so.

Simple solution - make Celtc wear orange training bibs over their strips.

This is a timely and pertinent reason to bring back the original hoops and launch a design infringement case with the international court. :greengrin

If Celtic F.C. were founded in 1988 instead of 1888 they would have been made in China.
