According to media site Terrace Talk on twitter Hibs have taken SIX players from Bray Wanderers on trial after they hit administration. They note Hibs now have no less than NINE on trial at HTC.

Think it's great to see the club checking out players like this, don't think we've ever had so many in one window. A few additions to the development squad maybe?

It's not a media site. It's a fake twitter account - the most popular kind of source for info these days :greengrin

I doubt very much that this is true.

I wouldn't rule it out.

A trial is just that - a chance for Lennon to run an eye over a player. Quite a lot of players take their chances by taking part in several trials at this time of year. We've had quite a few players now who have been on trial but not signed - Andy McLaren, Cillian Sheridan etc. Then we've had the ones like Jamie Insall who sign but don't quite make it.

There might be a gem in there, no harm in having a look. And the players will be busting a gut to impress.

A lot of this boils down to who the agents are. If Lennon has close links with an agent who represents the players then it may well be true.

Looks like East Mains is being used as a free preseason training camp for out of contract players

No harm at all in checking out players from this sort of level - and giving them a trial is as good a way as any - remember how some scoffed at the signing of Ivan Sproule.....

Would you rather we signed players without looking at them first?

" This sort of level " ? About the same as league we`re in you mean ? Sproule came from a club in league in the north and not one of the better ones and was also a long time ago .

Its another benefit of having our own great facilities, we can try out plenty of players.

We must run up a pretty steep expenses bill during the transfer windows these days or do Hibs have property for providing accommodation?

Cant imagine Hibs will pay for or provide accommodation for players on trial (with the possible exception of high profile players like Church). If we do have 6 players on trial from Bray Wanderers im guessing they will be paying their own digs.

Dont think we would be paying much if anything due to players wishing to show what they can do no?
Unless we invite them in.
