Is it just me or do others feel the same. Really annoying when going onto this site and people posting about what the yams are doing, not interested could not care a jot what they are doing only interested in what we are doing. Don't care about the new stand, chips, cash cow only interested what the team I support are doing. Think any posts about them should get binned before getting on here

Don't click on the thread that's about them then. Just because you don't care what they're upto, doesn't mean others feel the same.

You just started a thread about them 😂😂

For not caring a jot you appear to be quite knowledgable about what they're up to.

As stated don't click and don't read threads about them, problem solved.

Obvious answer is don't click on the thread if your not interested, that said it can be a hit much sometimes with multiple threads about them and very few about what we're actually doing. Maybe a yam mega thread is required instead?

Nah totally disagree! We all need a good laugh now and again and that's what they bring!! Cash cow, chips and the new skyline lounge (well chimney pot view stand). Thats what poppy thieving big teams do!

O and as others have alluded just don't click on the threads!!

Maybe I don't care about threads started to raise the OPs not caring about something.
What if you don't care about me not caring about your not caring?
This could get messy really quickly....

Football rivals tend to take an interest in what each other are doing. It's part of what makes a rivalry.

Obviously it would be preferable to them for the bumped creditor/stolen charity money things to just go away. Especially big hearts, Macraes Battalion Trust and the lady Haig Poppy Fund ones however most of us are capable of doing more than one thing at a time and they keep setting up the opportunities.

I agree with the OP.... Let's forget the irrelevant fuds and concentrate our scorn on City, Edinburghs 2nd team.

I can see this one going far. Longest Hertz thread in .net history.

If you want a forum that's all about Hibs maybe you could try JKB, seems to be the main topic over there. 😂

I don't click on the Hertz threads much but in close season there isn't much to discuss so they inevitably get discussed more.

It's like Sam Johnson said: If a man's tired of laughing at the yams he's tired of life.

Absolutely, the man himself would probably have had something to say if he'd heard the one about someone paying £4000 for a £5 plastic owl or a major construction project being funded by whatever coins some simpleton can be manipulated into inserting into a statue of a cow.

Why care about what people care about? What is the point of posting about what people are posting?

I'm kind of half way; I don't mind the occasional discussion about where they are with their signings, noseyness on my part, and have posted a couple of times on the new stand thread but it's true, we have started to look a bit obsessive re:Hearts.

I think it's probably just because it's the summer break, we haven't signed many players ourselves to talk about, and people are a bit bored,

There's also a lot of Hibs fans who would like to see the end to the awful chat about poppy thieves and big hearts etc.

No one talks about it at ER, in the pub or elsewhere and it's never discussed on other fans forums.

The only place I ever hear it mentioned is on here.

Its a slow news day,so lets talk about them.

Since Hibernian won the Scottish Cup and just as importantly(to them) knocking hertz out on the way, every thing has changed.
No more mocking 1902 type songs for a start
The jambo, well at least the kickback variety, appear to revel more in Hibernians "failings", than in their own "success".

Its oft been said in recent years that "we" define them
It seems to be true though.
Admin. really hurt them, though many won't admit it.
They were within a whisker of going the way the rAngers went.

They continue to bury their collective heads in the sand over the Romanov Years
I still recall arguing with a few of them in the Rainbow and Clerry Inn back then.
Telling them it would all end in tears.
Envy they cried !
We can't possibly go bust,
"WE" own a bank!

A strange breed,indeed.

"The messageboard for all Hibs fans to chat about Hibs and football in general."

Presumably you don't quite understand that?

Nope - I'm not particularly fussy for a number of threads that appear about them. However, I would say the majority of threads that appear on here I have little interest in reading. It's easy enough to only click into the ones you do have an interest in... the titles are usually descriptive enough.

What I do find strange is how JKB seems to be taken seriously as a source of Jambo opinion. It's widely accepted, even amongst Jamobs, that place is generally a collection of the high-end moron type of Jambo. Just open one thread and look at the daft pictures, 'pleasing' and 'seethe' patter and it tells you all you need to know. I do get that it's still amusing to enjoy these places after certain results and events of course :greengrin

Having said that, the obsession with Hibs is probably a fair reflection of your more human Hearts fan.

I know quite a few long standing hibbies who were appalled by the poppy money in particular being used as it was and they are pretty unlikely to be helping hearts out in their attempts to bury their clubs conduct.

There was a good debate going on about the charity robbing part amongst a group of 7 or 8 hibbies in the iona early before the st mirren game last day of the season and I know a few on here don't suddenly stop when they're offline!

It's a healthy reminder as far as I am concerned, doesn't take a lot of time and I know the 5-1ers can't handle it.

Each to their own though.[emoji106]

I highly doubt derby rivalries anywhere in the world are much different from ours, keeping an eye on the enemy and heaping derision on them at every opportunity is not only desirable but pretty well an obligation, we just happen to be luckier than most in that our derby rivals over the last few years have afforded us so many opportunities to do just that.

Where better than Hibs.Net to allow folk the chance to have their bit of fun with cash cows, Owls, baths and the less amusing sides of all things Yam ..... we all know the Yams look in on here just as much as we do JKB, in fact probably more given that most threads on JKB tend to end up mentioning us at some point, even when the OP isn't about Hibs ..... they should call it Stanton's Law :greengrin

On a more serious note, the language used over there to describe Hibs and the folk who support the club goes way beyond what you will see on equivalent threads on here about them, their arrogance and overblown sense of their place in the game is unhealthy and needs watching if you ask me, they have a dismissive attitude to not only us but every other club in Scotland which is very Old Firmesque.
They refer to themselves as 'the famous' but what exactly are they 'famous' for? ...... not for anything they have done on the pitch, as far as that goes Hibs have been at the forefront of innovation and groundbreaking ideas in the game far more than they have and there are at least half a dozen Scottish clubs who have gone further in Europe than them, including us, yet we wouldn't dream of giving our club a moniker that smacks of such delusions of grandeur.

Even off the field for different reasons our history holds just as much to be proud of as theirs does ... for our part the fact that our founders were able to start and maintain a club which went on to be one of the biggest and best in Scotland against a background of poverty, depravation and social injustice is pretty remarkable ...... It should be noted that at that time Hearts were one of the few teams who would agree to play us, the Jambos of the 19th century were clearly a different breed from today's lot.
Hearts can rightly be proud of the WW1 team, but it has to be noted that in recent years the commercialisation and use of that period in their history as a promotional tool for the club has come close to crossing the line between respectful remembrance and shameless exploitation.

Nah ............ keep an eye on them at all times I say and who better to do that than us :greengrin

Maybe if we did something, there might be something to distract us.
