Always liked the look of him. Probably would be a good signing to be fair! If we can get him...

Hamilton would probably be looking for a pretty big offer for him. He's a very good player and I'd be delighted if we managed to get him.

HIBS could turn their attention to Ali Crawford after their move for Luke Berry collapsed.
SunSport understands the Easter Road club are considering making an offer for Hamilton ace Crawford.

Boss Neil Lennon is in the market for a midfielder and is thought to have earmarked the Accies ace as a possible target after missing out on Cambridge Man berry
Hamilton would demand a fee for Crawford, 25, who has a year left on his current deal at the SuperSeal Stadium.

But Hibs have already shown they are prepared to splash the cash after agreeing a £250,000 deal with English League Two side Cambridge for Berry.

It looked like Berry was on the verge of a move to the capital after SunSport revealed he had visited the club’s training base last weekend.

But Lennon has now confirmed there is no hope of landing the 24-year-old.

He said: “Yes, it’s off. Why? That is private. I wouldn’t want to make that public.”

Risky business asking for too much though - only 1 year left on contract. If we are interested I'm sure a deal could be done.

Now that'd be a great signing (from what I've seen)

Would probably be a similar type signing to McGinn with less risk than Berry, although I thought he'd be a good signing too.

Good player by all accounts and exactly the type of signing I'd like to see us making.

Adding him and Swanson to last year's midfield would be fantastic. exactly what we need.
As for a fee we've just got decent money for JC and I don't see why we can't reinvest a good chunk of that

It's fairly vague and I'd be more confident if Kenny Millar had penned it.

Good player, underrated probably because he plays for Hamilton, better bet than Berry for me.

Good player. Would take him.

Got released by Hearts for being too wee before he went to Hamilton so probably hates them which would be a bonus.

Not a striker so still not plugging the gaps.

Not a striker so still not plugging the gaps.

Would imagine we will be after strikers as well still.
Definitely short there although I think that Murray will be a starter.

Would be pleased if this was true. Him and Swanson in attack would be dangerous.

So we're just to miss out on what Lennon needs/wants just because it's not a striker first? Behave

Good player. I'd take him if we're really interested.

To me, the story lacks any real 'meat on the bones' to it. Are the media just pulling attacking midfielders names out of a hat and linking them with us?

Would like to see this one come off. Not exactly sure why it matters that he is not a striker.

Not a striker so still not plugging the gaps.

Scoring goals from midfield was a huge gap.

Anyway, it's possible to work on a few positions at once. Would be a bit odd to just go one position at a time.

If he socialises with the likes of you he must be a total bammer :greengrin

In all seriousness from what I've seen he looks like a tidy wee player and that's definitely the market we should be in.

It uses the word 'ace' twice in six (short) paragraphs. I'm fairly sure it was written by a primary school child.

Still, if the kid's got decent sources...

Good player to be linked with.

I've no expectations on anything concrete coming out of transfer rumours so I'll not be disappointed if nothing actually happens.

If we can get Crawford it would be a real coup and a statement of intent, that we probably all feel is required at the moment.

Hibs could turn there attention to anyone as the Berry deal is off.

Sioux

So, Lennon's admitted that he was after an attacking midfielder, Berry. Hack puts two and two together and comes up with Crawford.

Cue a list of attacking mids that are now on Hibs' radar. Is that about it?

My moment in the ITK club. I work beside his dad. He fancies a shot in England and there's a fair bit of interest in him from there. Accies did not play fair with his last contract. I shall ask him again when I see him...

I work with hid Dad as well. Ali has been on rubbish money throughout his career with Hamilton and will go wherever he feels he will get a good deal. Has recently bought a house with his partner so may wish to stay in Scotland. He's another one that Hearts let go and it would be great if he came back to haunt them wearing green and white. Expect him to be Alex Neil's first signing though unfortunately..

I don't think it's lack of activity per se but we really do need a couple of strikers in.
