Was listening to last weeks off the ball podcast and they had Simon Ferry on talking about his laid back interviews with ex players and spoke about his next one will be with Garry O'Connor. He said he really wanted Deek on the show but said that he was keeping all his stories as he is writing** a book.

Not going to lie, that book would be some read if Riordan is 100% honest.

Should be a great read if he has a decent ghostwriter. Derek's story will be a more fascinating one than the bog standard millionare footballer boring us all with tales of endless silverware and riches.

I doubt it'll be the usual anodyne stuff you get in these sort of books. It might even be a best seller.

Still the third highest scorer in SPL history. Watched Hibs since 1970 and most skillful Scottish player for us I have seen.
